A quick stop at a convenience store for drinks will precede a stroll towards the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Be aware that the forest will be completely dark at this hour, offering a unique and thrilling experience.

The tour begins with a drink as participants delve into spine-chilling urban legends, eerie tales, and unsettling events from Kyoto’s mysterious past. Rather than focusing on traditional yōkai or classic ghost stories, the tour explores atmospheric streets and shadowy bamboo forests, immersing participants in haunting narratives and unique thrills.

At one point, participants will even walk alone in the dark for a brief stretch—an eerie and memorable moment designed to let them experience the atmosphere independently. It’s safe, short, but adds an exciting sense of dread to the evening.

A visit to the beautiful Kimono Forest (always open) nearby is highly recommended. It’s a breathtaking sight and a perfect way to set the mood for the tour.
