Made Kyoto memorable! - Haruk was so amazing! He met is promptly as planned at the cruise terminal in Osaka and we made our way together to Kyoto. Communication prior to this day was key and Haruk worked with us to plan an itinerary that would get us to our must see spots in a jam packed day. He even took is a hidden gem for ramen lunch. He was also so kind, courteous and knowledgeable. It was wonderful spending the day with him!

Ichiro creates wonderful day for family of 10 - Our tour of Kyoto fell on a day of very heavy rain. We had 10 people in our group (4 adults and 6 girls from 8-15 years old) we were concerned about how the day would go since it was going to rain all day. Ichiro developed an alternate plan for us to see sights that we could navigate in the rain and he truly saved the day. His recommendations were excellent. We saw amazing sights, he recommended a great lunch restaurant that everyone found something to eat and enjoy. His English was excellent. I would strongly suggest you book this tour and request Ichiro. You will be happy you did.

Outstanding tour of Kyoto starting at Port of Osaka - We had a great experience during our guided tour of Kyoto. Shuji was an excellent guide. He kept in touch with us for weeks prior to our arrival to be sure we were on the same page with our plans. We had a tight schedule since we were getting off of a cruise ship at 11:00 a.m. and had to be all aboard by 8 p.m. Our cruise docked in Osaka which was an hour away from Kyoto. Shuji helped us plan our itinerary within the constraints of our time commitment. He was flexible with our wishes since we wanted to experience riding the Bullet train and fit this in for us even though it wasn't in our planned itinerary. He clearly put a great deal of effort into planning the sights we saw and he was very knowledgeable regarding all the sites. He spoke English extremely well. He had prepared pictures and historical information regarding the sites we visited. We couldn't have had a better experience and it was worth every penny!

Best private tour to visit Kyoto with Yuko - We booked a private tour to see Kyoto from Osaka cruise port. Yuko was our tour guide and she was absolutely the best that we have ever had. She was so professional in many way: know what and when to use which transportation to save your time, understand the history of the sites what we visited, and most of all the care for her customers. We wish to have the guide like Yuko on all our excursions. Thanks Yuko for a wonderful time on Kyoto👍.

Cherry blossom in Kyoto - Excellent guide who communicated with us before the tour. She planned and included everything we wanted for our special day in Kyoto. Our guide had a lot of local knowledge and although Kyoto was busy we visited areas at the least busy times so got to take some wonderful photos of such a memorable and incredible place.

A flexible and rewarding day in Kyoto - My tour guide (Maya) was very friendly, very helpful and supportive, very accommodating, very easy to feel comfortable with when engaging in a two way conversation, and very knowledgeable. Based on my particular area of interest; Maya provided a lot of background information on Japanese imperial history; as well as the relationship and interface between the Emperor, the Shoguns, and the Samurai; including the power conflicts between the Shoguns and the Emperor. I particularly enjoyed the balanced view where Maya articulated the generally accepted view of history, but also talked about her own personal view. Overall; a very enjoyable, a very interesting, and a very educational day. The tour was very flexible where Maya messaged me before I arrived to ascertain and understand my preferences and priorities.

She was very knowledgable and had lots of local interesting information about the local area, culture and history. We got some fabulous photos of a very memorable day. She even managed to arrange beautiful weather and for the cherry blossom to be in full bloom.

Fantastic day with Ichiro - We had a fantastic day visiting Nara Park, temples and shrines with our guide Ichiro. He met us off the cruise ship at 8:30 am and we took the train to Nara Park, he was very friendly his English was good and he explained various historical and interesting things on the journey. He took us to a tea house for some traditional Japanese food for lunch, which was very tasty. Prior to the holiday Ichiro had contacted me for details of what we wanted to do on our tour and worked round our suggestions. As we are 74 he paced himself to our abilities, which was very good We returned to the ship at 4:30 as arranged. I would definitely recommend this tour as you can select what you want to do and not have to wait for other people

Loved Osaka but not our guide - Unfortunately tours like this all depend on the guide you get. Our guide was not communicative about the plan or how long it would take to get anywhere so we were left following him around all day. We basically paid for someone to get us from point A to point B and give us minimal information about the history. He was trying to be helpful but there was a language barrier and ultimately was not the best day. It was raining so it was difficult to get to a location we could hear him but he kept walking ahead of the group and we were rushing to keep up. The locations themselves were beautiful and interesting but I wish we could have learned more than we did.
