Mika-san Made our Day Magical - "Five stars simply aren't enough to commend Mika-san for her exceptional leadership of the Kyoto Private 4-hour Custom Walking Tour. From the outset, her communication was impeccable, ensuring every detail was tailored to our preferences. Her dedication shone through in the meticulously crafted itinerary, showcasing her deep knowledge of Kyoto's hidden gems. As a native, Mika-san's insights were invaluable, elevating our experience to extraordinary heights. Professionalism, politeness, and warmth was presented from her every gesture, making us feel like honored guests in her city. Our journey through the Gion District and Downtown Kyoto was unforgettable, made even more magical by chance encounters with a Maiko and a young woman celebrating her coming of age. Thank you, Mika-san, for a truly unforgettable adventure. You have been a wonderful part of our Kyoto experience. “

Book this one! - What an outstanding experience! Kazuko was the perfect host and tour guide. We hit some major highlights but also wandered off to see some places I would never have seen on my own. It was great having a local who spoke Japanese but also spoke very good english. She had so much history to share! My son joined me for part of the tour but the second half was on my own. I'd recommend Japan Wonder Travel and Kuzuko to anyone who wants a one on one tour of Kyoto!

Kiyomizu temple - It was so fun to go sightseeing with team members! Unfortunately, it rained cats and dogs but I could hear the sound of rain falling from the roof to the ground on Japanese garden thanks to the rain. It was beautiful sounds. I had been to kiyomizu temple several times but I could visit new places such as Kongou temple, back alley where there are geisya houses and more. Thank you so much!

The best Zen gardens, magnificent views, photogenic spots, and a glimpse to the world of Geisha - This tour went beyond my expectations! First of all, the guide! A very sweet lady guided us through Japanese history, while explaining details about the background of the temples we visited. She was quite well informed, and presented everything with a lot of sense of humor, and in excellent English. The tour involved a lot of walking through the old streets of Kyoto, and we could take our time taking photos, savoring the atmosphere of each spot. The guide also showed us locations for the best photo shots. There are lots of places where you can try traditional Japanese snacks, so if you feel like refueling during the tour, ask the guide for recommendations. It wasn’t my first time visiting that part of Kyoto, yet I learned many new things and noticed others I had missed before. The Gion part was completely new for me, and it was especially thrilling to see a Maiko on a regular stroll. It was a wonderful experience overall and I totally recommend it.

Fascinating tour. - Akiho introduced us to Kyoto with her detailed explanation of the area, including Kiyomizu-dera and Kennin-ji. The entire tour is really interacting, where we have the opportunity to not only admire the astonishing scene along the way, but also learn more about the culture of the entire region. Amazing tour and definitely recommended.
