A great introduction to Japanese home cooking. - This class was a great way to introduce us to Japanese home cooking as we had booked an Airbnb for a few days in Kyoto. We really enjoyed our cooking class in Miho’s lovey home - she was so friendly and helpful. We ate the delicious meal we cooked in her beautiful tatami room with looking out into an elegant Japanese garden. It was a nice walk along the canal to the supermarket where Miho introduced us to the mysteries of Japanese food shopping. The area is lovely and really convenient for the Fushimi Inari Shrine which we visited after.

A memorable afternoon - One of the best things you can do when visiting Japan! Highly recommend spending the afternoon with Miho. Menu selection was simple and easy. It was exactly the type of cooking class I was looking for. Simple home cooking. She taught me how to make variations to what we were making on the day. Highly recommend the trip to the supermarket also. She offered lots of insight into the staple ingredients typically used in Japanese dishes. A memorable afternoon for sure!

Recommended! - Did 2 cooking classes with Miho: started with a typical Japanese meal (miso soup, omelette, inari and making sushi and spinach salad) as well as mochi, and liked this experience so much that we then took the desert class as well (dango, doriyaki and mochi). Miho explained everything so well, the dishes were delicious (some of them even better than those tried at different street food vendors). Most (if not all) of the recipes seem recreateble at home. It was fun, creative, informative, and delicious, thank you Miho!

A fun class and a unique opportunity to visit a local home - Miho is fantastic! We were welcomed into a beautiful home and learned to prepare a wonderful multi-course meal, including sushi and mochi-covered ice cream. I especially enjoyed the supermarket tour at the end, where we were able to buy some of the ingredients. It was an experience not available in any other tour--like visiting a friend's house and having a look into day-to-day life. Our schedule was tight, and Miho even helped us get a taxi to the airport after our class.
