- Dolukanda Conservation Forest - Throughout the course of the conflict, both Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana succumbed to the force of potent arrows, losing consciousness. In a bid to revive them, Lord Hanuman was tasked with retrieving life-restoring herbs from the Himalayas. Unable to distinguish the specific herbs, Hanuman transported the entire mountain. Fragments of this mountain are said to have scattered across five locations in Sri Lanka, which include Rumasala in Galle, Dolu Kanda in Hiripitiya, Ritigala on the road between Habarana and Anuradhapura, Thalladi in Mannar, and Kachchativu in the north.

The highest peak in the Kurunegala District, rarely visited by locals let alone tourists, offers breathtaking views of the countryside. Steeped in history with ancient stone paths, hidden treasure troves and temples. It is a fairly strenuous climb to reach the summit but the efforts are well worth the magnificent views and the chance to camp under the starlight.
