This captivating three-hour tour led by AKI takes you through the historic city of Kumamoto Castle. As we stroll through its traditional lanes, we’ll drop by heritage shops preserving our culture for future generations. The trip guarantees an enriching experience of dining, casual conversations, and engaging with locals, all the while exploring the culture of the castle city and supporting its society. The plan includes stops at natural food stops, confectionaries, cafes, among others. In the ‘Shinmachi’ district, we’ll visit the second oldest bakery in Japan (and the oldest in Kumamoto), Nagasaki Jiro Shoten, and Yoshida Shouka-do along the ancient Satsuma Road. Furthermore, we’ll stop by the traditional Japanese toy trading post, Muroya, and do some shopping at Fukushiro-ya, a standard Japanese-style alcohol store and bar.
