About the Island:

The Perhentian Islands are located in the Besut District, Terengganu, Malaysia. The two main islands are Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil, along with the small, uninhabited islands of Susu Dara, Serengeh, and Rawa. Situated on the east coast of Malaysia in the South China Sea, the Perhentian group of islands is 108 km from Kuala Terengganu (1.5 hours) and 54 km from Kota Bharu (1 hour). The boat journey takes about 30 minutes by speedboat and 1.5 hours by slow boat. Pulau Perhentian offers an exciting holiday destination with white sandy beaches, jungle interiors, and fascinating diving spots that attract both divers and non-divers. The best months for diving are between March and September. Dive equipment is readily available for rent at almost all dive centers.
