Also known as Taman Rama Rama, it is home to a collection of animals ranging from beautiful butterflies to snakes, lizards, crocodiles, koi fish and even a pair of gorgeous golden leopards. The well-maintained sanctuary was opened in 1991 and is divided into five sections: the Koi River Valley, Butterfly Garden, Reptile Aviary, Wild Photo Lane and Nature’s Art Centre.

  • Mini Malaysia & ASEAN Cultural Park Melaka - Mini Malaysia & ASEAN Cultural Park: Mini Malaysia & ASEAN Cultural Park is a cultural park where impressive replicas of traditional Malaysian and ASEAN homes can be seen. Similar to the Karyaneka Handicraft Centre in KL, each house contains furnishings, fixtures and works of art depicting the culture of each state or country.
  • Zoo Melaka - Melaka Zoo: Melaka Zoo is the second largest in Malaysia. Located 13km outside Malacca city in Ayer Keroh, it has over 1,200 animals of 200 different species. The zoo’s highlight is the night-viewing safari when visitors are driven around in a tram to see lit-up exhibits of nocturnal wildlife up and about. Melaka Zoo is spread out across 54 acres and is managed by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. The complex is home to a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians including the Malayan gaur, serow and Malayan tiger.
  • Taman Buaya & Rekreasi Melaka - Crocodile Farm: First opened in 1987, the farm has some pretty cool species of crocodiles and alligators, ranging from an enormous American alligator, a stripy-looking spectacled caiman and pale Indian marsh mugger crocodiles. The crocodiles are all housed in manmade, swamp-like conditions similar to their natural habitat. Be sure to grab a picture during the photo taking sessions with baby crocodiles.

It has the largest aviary in Malaysia and will be the only bird park to house such a large collection of Malaysian bird species.
