- Istana Negara - Istana Negara is Malaysia’s National Palace. Its grounds are not open to the public, so the Main Palace Entrance is usually the spot where tourists take pictures. Istana Negara is bordered by a wall with the Malaysian coat of arms, featuring the Royal Insignia of His Majesty, placed on the steel bars between each fenced pillar. - National Monument - The 15m-high bronze statue is dedicated to the 11,000 people who died during the First World War, the struggle against the Japanese and the Malayan Emergency.
- National Museum - The building has a sweeping, traditional Minangkabau-style roof and a main entrance flanked by two large murals of Italian glass mosaic.
- National Mosque (Masjid Negara) - Built in 1965 (the year that Malaysia and Singapore split) it was designed by UK architect Howard Ashley, and Malaysians Hisham Albakri and Baharuddin Kassim.
- Sultan Abdul Samad Building - The distinguished landmark originally served as the secretariat for the colonial British administration.
- Merdeka Square - Merdeka Square seems to be nothing more than a giant field with perfectly manicured green lawns and a centrepiece of the tallest flagpole in the world (95m) proudly displaying the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag).
- Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex - The Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex is an iconic art tourism destination located in the heart of the city. This one-stop craft centre offers a myriad of tourism products such as arts and crafts for local and foreign visitors.
