A wonderful day of touring! - Our tour to Royal Selangor and Batu Caves was such a great experience. Right from the beginning, we got to learn so much about Malaysia’s history. One of the best parts was visiting the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. We saw how pewter is made and looked at some really beautiful pieces. It was both fun and interesting. Batu Caves was just as amazing. The giant golden statue of Lord Murugan, the tall staircase, and the Hindu temples built into the caves were all so impressive. We also saw lots of monkeys running around, which made the trip even more fun and memorable. We also want to give a big thank you to our guide, Rajan. He was awesome. He picked us up on time, made sure we had water and felt comfortable all day, and really went out of his way to help us. He knew so much about Malaysia’s history and shared so many cool facts. He even stopped at a special spot so we could take a great photo of the city. This tour was one of the best parts of our trip. Thank you, Rajan, for making it so special!

Great experience - Our driver Rayhan Raj Naidu was a great communicator prior to our tour ensuring that we were ready for our pick up. He messaged the day before with all the details and he was at our hotel pick up on time / early. The water in the car was appreciated. The visit to Batu caves exceeded our expectations- our driver gave us plenty of time to explore on our own. Once back in the car we visited the batik handicrafts which was interesting and the had a wide range of products at good prices to buy. The Royal Selangor tour was very interesting and after we had time to relax in the cafe which was lovely and cool with good rest rooms. We combined our tour with the firefly tour which was a great experience also. A long day but worth it!Our driver was very personable , knowledgeable. Thanks so much for a great tour.

272 stairs - Great and relaxed tour. The guide Rayhan Raj Naidu did a great job not overwhelming with information but giving us insights about the place. It was nice to explore the caves by myself and experience the atmosphere of the temples.

Fab family day out - Enjoyed local stops and learning of history and culture of Malaysia but star of show was Batu caves which was stunning. He didn’t ask us to mention him but our guide Rajan was brilliant. Many many monkeys at the caves and more at waterfalls but they were not aggressive and moved out of ur way if approached

Not a Real Tour + Bad Communication - The sights were incredible, but this tour was altogether pretty bad. There was no communication from the operator on when to expect pickup from the hotel and no one returned my calls or messages. At the end, on the day of I called Tripadvisor to just cancel the booking. Ultimately, 20 min before start time the guide texted me back finally to let me know he was on his way (according to the others on the tour, this happened to them as well). The tour guide was more of a driver than an actual tour guide, and was not very friendly nor informational — when we got to each location he just dropped us off and left us to join tours run by personnel on-site. At Batu Caves there was no tour at all; we were just dropped off across the highway and told to walk over and walk back in an hour. Overall, while I appreciate getting chauffeured to each spot, if you actually want a tour, this is not it.

15min is enough - Actually, a photo at the entrance is enough. The stairs are a workout that is not def worth the effort. From downtown 60RM, for 30RM more the taxi driver waits up to 90min. Taxis are difficult to get at the temple.

Disappointing - Looks impressive from the road but once you get close to the steps the stench of sewage and the dirt and litter hit you, it makes you wonder how anyone can worship here. We climbed the coloured, dirty, flaking steps avoiding the monkeys waiting to grab food. There is a landing in between each colour so you can catch your breath. Inside there was more smell and the souvenir stalls spoilt what should be a place of prayer. The Pewter museum was interesting and took about 30 minutes and the Batik shop showed a demo of the technique but was focused on selling you stuff. Our guide Ruben was an angry driver and the car was sub standard. Glad it was only a half day tour.
