Our private tour and... - Our private tour and guide was great. We had a wonderful time exploring the town and visiting a few sites we had on our bucket list. Our guide was very informative and really tailored our tour to our needs.

Levent our guide was amazing! - Our guide, Levent, and the driver of the large car met us promptly at the pier. It was nice having a separate driver so that Levent could devote all his attention to us. He also gave each of us a gift bracelet from the owner, which my wife loves. He was extremely knowledgeable about Ephesus and the other stops we made. Our first stop was a souvenir shop that had treats and gifts. Then, onto Ephesus, which was amazing and a massive part of the day. We then stopped for lunch, which was included in the tour. It was absolutely delicious and more than we could finish, which for me is rare! We then stopped for a carpet-making presentation, which was very informative. After being shown how the carpets were made from the silkworm stage to the finished products, we were brought to a room where we were given Turkish coffee and tea and shown many carpets. The carpets were beautiful, but we felt pressured to purchase one of these items, which could cost anywhere from $500 to $8000. Of course, they said, "No pressure," but that is not how my wife or I felt. We then left for the optional Turkish Bath experience. The bath part was new and unique, so we are glad we experienced it. The massage was so-so, and both items were expensive even by USA standards. Again, this is an optional add-on to the tour and should not detract from how wonderful and knowledgeable our guide, Levent, was. Overall, it is excellent, and I would recommend it!

WOW! So much to learn on this tour! - Bill was our tour guide and he was incredible! He has a PhD in Archeology and grew up in Ephesus - he was an absolute wizard with so much information and also such interesting color commentary throughout our tour. We had a great meal and very comfortable car service for the trip. We didnt mind that there were 'salesy' pitches at the market and carpet co-op but I realize that might not be for everyone. We enjoyed the experience and learning more about the culture and country. We did not do the Turkish bath.

Best tour of our cruise!!! A must A++++ - I would give this 10 stars+++. Great alternative to overpriced lame cruise ship excursions. We were picked up right at the cruise terminal. Super easy had a great day of touring. We had a group of 8 Our guide Tanners was fantastic took us to amazing sites and experiences. The lunch and tour of the rug making was fabulous. If in Turkey you must experience a Turkish bath.

Good tour of Turkey!! - Sevga the tour guide was great! There were many highlights from the tour but there were also some disappointing moments. The tour was pretty reasonable in price, however, the places we wanted to experience were at an additional cost per person. The tour seemed geared toward retail when we hoped for more of a combination of culture and retail together. The lunch was absolutely delicious and our tour guide had a birthday cake for my birtuday which was extremely thoughtful and kind. Overall, would recommend!

Ephesus was interesting, but there were components of the tour that should have been skipped - Highlights: Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Ephesus. It a great way to learn about this ancient city. Because it was so hot, the tour guide made sure that we got shade as much as possible and had water before we entered the site. Learning about how they made rugs was very interesting! Lowlights: The van we got into was so hot! The a/c did not work well, so everyone in my group was sweating the entire time. While we liked learning about how they made rugs, it turned into a sales pitch in which they tried selling us rugs. They also brought us to a souvenir shop that we found out was more expensive than the shops near our cruise port and a fashion show where they tried to sell us leather. That made this tour much less enjoyable.

WARNING!! - Please note that this is very aggressive. While they say “no buy obligation” it does not feel that way at all. We did not know what we would be getting into. The thing in particular that was concerning and beyond shocking was when we were taken to some kind of fashion show place and made to watch a fashion show of clothing and then they pulled us up to participate as well. We were pressured to try to buy clothes and they kept wanting us to try things on. These clothes were THOUSANDS of dollars. This stop was not on the description! Our tour guide also tried to pressure us to write a review for the tour infront of her. She tried to get us to use her WiFi. She wanted to take pictures of our phone screens. We refused to write a review with her/in front of her so that we could warn others about this.

Not what I expected. - First and for most I would like to say we had the absolute best tour guide. He knew everything. My displeasure came in when we had to pay for everything!! I the entry fee to the ruins was included but it wasn’t. I called Viator about the cost of the Turkish bath and I was told $10 USD. IT WAS 55 euros each!! We also made a stop and a carpet making place that put high pressure on people to purchase something Complete turn off!!! My suggestion is to just hire a driver and save money.
