Perfect Desert Adventure – Camel Ride, Quads & Jeep Tou - ride at sunset was wonderful and definitely one of the highlights. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and the tents were surprisingly big and comfortable.
We also booked quad bikes at sunrise, which turned out to be the best activity we did there. Riding through the dunes in the early morning was an amazing experience. After breakfast, we went on a jeep tour, which was a great way to explore more of the area around Merzouga, including the desert, the lake, and visiting nomad families.

Amazing Solo Adventure in the Desert - I stayed at a standard camp in Merzouga and joined the jeep tour. As a solo traveler, I felt very welcome — the staff were friendly and attentive. The camp was simple but clean and comfortable, offering a true desert experience. The jeep tour was thrilling, especially watching the sunset from the dunes. It was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and I highly recommend it for anyone traveling alone to the Sahara.

Unforgettable experience in the desert - We booked a luxury camp in Merzouga via Tripadvisor with Esmail, who was incredibly kind and attentive. He organized a beautiful sunset with wine, just splendid. The evening around the campfire with Berber music was unforgettable. If you are planning a trip to Merzouga, we highly recommend that you do not miss this experience.

The best - We booked this activity in Viator and opted for a luxury camp. It was a wonderful experience. The shops were spacious, super comfortable and very clean, and the staff made us feel at home with their friendliness. I definitely recommend it for those who want to live the desert in style

The unexpectedly wonderful trip - Well, I was a bit unprepared and not sure what I can expect. This, what I got from the guys was wonderful. I am in a bad shape nowadays, and they reaally cheered me up. They organised the tour and hospitality especially professional, they were very kind to the guests, and made everything to be comfortable. I thank them this experience; it would be a mistake to miss out.
Oh, and the dinner: it was very delicious, the harira and tajines (yes! Multiple! ) were wonderful. The breakfast was various and delicious as well.

Jam jar - experience❤️ - Was an incredibly beautiful experience!
Came a little late, as only the summer time of 17:00h was indicated, but the tour would have started a little earlier.
The ride through the desert was great, in between we were allowed to sandboard and when we arrived at the camp the food was more than satisfactory!
Everything was well timed!
Overall just a core memory!❤️

Unique experience at unbeatable price - Overall a super organized tour with camel ride to sunset and rise.
Dinner and breakfast were great!
In the winter months it is recommended to be there before the start time of 5 pm, then the tour also starts earlier

Accommodating to Severe Allergies, Memorable, and Worth Every Penny - This was such a great excursion and a unique way to experience the "door to the Sahara."
We only did one night in the standard tent but we did wish we had done two just for the experience of being in the Dunes. If you have two nights to give on your trip, I recommend taking advantage of the time you can spend in Erg Chebbi; and if you're comfortable spending more, I recommend the luxury tents (the standard tents were fine but most of the showers in the shared bathrooms didn't fully close and/or lock).
The camels are very docile, the food is amazing, and those working the camps are very accommodating. I have severe allergy to all nuts and, once this was communicated, they made separate dishes just for me to eat. It was so kind and unexpected with them preparing an appetizer, and main course, and a salad that was safe for me to eat.
Each night ends with music and a fire - its a great way to connect with other guests and those working the camps. For our group, we were given opportunities to try out/learn the instruments, to dance, and to visit with others campers and the staff until late into the night. This is a more intimate experience that comes are sharing food - it's a great way to end the night.
Pro-tip: booking anything in Morocco is cheaper through WhatsApp, and Moroccans get to take more profit home when you connect with them directly.
P.S. Berber is considered derogatory by many Moroccans. Amazigh is preferred.
