- Phnom Bakheng - Bakheng Mountain is near Angkor Wat Temple. It is located about 1.5 kilometers northwest of Angkor Wat. It is a Hindu temple mountain dedicated to Shiva, and was built in the 9th century by King Yasovarman I. It is the oldest temple in the Angkor Archaeological Park, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cambodia. The temple is built on a 79-meter-tall hill, and has five sandstone sanctuaries on the top level. The sanctuaries are arranged in a quincunx pattern, with one in the center and one at each corner of the level’s square. The temple is also surrounded by 108 small towers, which have mostly collapsed.
Phnom Bakheng is a popular spot for sunset viewing, as it offers panoramic views of the Angkor Archaeological Park. It is also a popular place to watch the sunrise, but the views are not as good as at Angkor Wat.
If you are visiting the Angkor Archaeological Park, I recommend visiting Phnom Bakheng in the late afternoon to catch the sunset.

To begin the tour we are going to see Angkor Wat Temple and sunset there. This huge temple was built in early 12th century by King Suryavarman 2. Angkor Wat has three levels with 5 main towers. Angkor Wat has become the national symbol of Cambodia and is even found on the nation’s flag as it symbolises the soul of the country.

Next we are going to visit Ta Prohm Temple know as Tomb Raider Temple with the tree cover the temple. Then we visit Angkor Thom City, Elephant Terrace and Bayon Temple stop at the South Gate of Angkor Thom City.
Lastly, we are going to see the sunset at Phnom Bakheng Mountain.

Impressive & efficient tour, loved it. - Great afternoon with Thom, we explored a lot in the 4+ hrs on our flying visit to Cambodia. Much appreciated his efficient use of time & all the explanations. Highly recommend.

Brilliant trip for all the family - Had an amazing cycle tour, Tom was so informative and made the afternoon really engaging and fast paced . The cycle paths en route were beautiful and it was lovely to see so much on our travels

Very well organized! - Thom picked us up from our hotel a bit after our scheduled start time as we were waiting to check in. He took us to the less busy side of Angkor Wat first, offering us cold towels on the way. He told us a lot about the history of Angkor Wat, giving us time to explore the top while also directing us to good photo opportunities. At the end of the Angkor Wat tour he took us to Ta Prohm to show us where “Tomb Raider” was filmed, again showing us all the good camera angles. We then drove through the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom with a stop at Bayon Temple showing is the many faces of the temple. When then drove to Phnom Bakeng and hiked to the top for the sunset. It was cloudy for us so we didn’t get a good sunset, but that was out of our control. Thom got us up there in time regardless. What Thom did next was extraordinary. He booked us a reservation for a local Khmer dance presentation that had a buffet as well! He set everything up for us and we got to enjoy the show. Thom is very organized, had plenty of water for us, and always had cold towels. I could not think of a better way to spend our day!

Very informative and professional - Thom was an awesome tour guide! He was very informative, professional, and accommodating. He kept cold water and cold towels for us to stay hydrated on our tour which I was very grateful for. I learned a lot about Angkor Watt on my tour and my friend and I got lots of great pictures.
Thom even booked a reservation at a nice local restaurant after our tour and drove us there. I would highly recommend booking your trip with Thom!

Perfect Daytrip from Bangkok to Angkor Wat & Other Temples - Thom was an amazing guide! My father and I wanted to see Angkor Wat as a daytrip from Bangkok and he was able to effortlessly make it happen. At first when I was planning, I was worried about making a daytrip to Angkor Wat because all of the tours that I could find online started at 4:30 in the morning, but he was one of the few if not the only ones that did it at the time of us flying in from Bangkok so that we can make it a day trip from there. He picked us up and was waiting for us at the airport right when we landed, gave us cold towels and water immediately when we got there, airport transportation to and from in an air conditioned van, and he was super knowledgeable about everything to do with the temples we saw, including but not limited to:
- Cambodian Hindu Buddhist lore
- Tomb Raider memorabilia
- Hidden Easter eggs for the whole complex as well as other temples
- Hidden photo spots
- +more
He even showed us around downtown Siem reap a little bit before our flight back to Bangkok! Thom made the tour an unforgettable experience and I would give him 6 stars if I could!

INCREDIBLE TOUR WITH THOM! - Our private sunset temple tour exceeded expectations!!! Thom is such an attentive, charismatic, knowledgeable and friendly guide. He’s amazing!! He brought us to all the best spots and customized the tour to our interests. He’s also a fantastic photographer and knew all the prime photo spots. Our driver was also incredible, he made the entire tour so comfortable. Half of the tour proceeds also go toward children’s education in the countryside! Highly recommend!!!

Unforgettable! - Amazing tour!!! Very informative and customizable. Tom was very good at portraying the in depth stories and lore of Ankor Wat. Tom even brought us to the less populated gate for great sunset photos that not many people know about. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ankor Wat.
