The journey will then continue back to the base of the hill, where a lunch at a traditional Khmer restaurant awaits in a beautiful, shady spot, offering views of the rural landscape.
Next, a short drive leads to a Buddhist center known as Putmondul. Here, visitors will observe monks, nuns, and many locals seeking good luck through their offerings. The center features a magnificent reclining Buddha and numerous exquisite paintings depicting the history of Buddhism.
The tour then proceeds to Phnom Reap Temple, also known as Prasat Vihear Suor. This relatively new structure, completed in 1998, is inspired by the architectural style of Angkor Wat and is often referred to as the new Angkor Wat.
