Highlights
  • Angkor Wat - Your guide and tuk tuk drive welcome you in the early morning at your booked hotel in Siem Reap and head to the main gate of the Angkor temples and make your early morning stop to see the sunrise. Arguably the largest religious building in the world, with a volume of stone equalling that of the Cheops pyramid in Egypt, it is unlike all the other Khmer temples in that it faces west. Its symmetrical towers are stylized on the modern Cambodian flag. Conceived by Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat took an estimated 30 years to build.

  • Angkor Thom - You return to your hotel for breakfast, and we move back into the Angkor temples to admire some of the other inspirational temple ruins that define Angkor and make it a proud member of the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Via the South Gate, we visit Angkor Thom. The Great City of Angkor Thom is one of the central points within the whole Angkor Complex, which was probably more opulent than most European cities in the late 12th century. This ten square kilometres city is enclosed by an eight-meter high wall and encircled by a hundred-meter long moat said to have been inhabited by fierce crocodiles.

  • Bayon Temple - We continue to the Bayon and the Preah Khan Temple before lunch. The Bayon is a 12th-century masterpiece that lies at the very centre of Angkor Thom City and is an archaeological wonder of symmetry and grandeur. The exterior gallery walls have extensive bas-reliefs but the main features are the towers, each with 3 or 4 gently smiling faces, over 200 in total.

  • Preah Khan - Continue to Preah Khan, “The Sacred Sword”, an extensive monastic complex covering over 56 hectares built by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a monastery and teaching complex.

  • Ta Nei Temple - Your three-wheeled motorized vehicle takes us to the Ta Nei Temple and the Tao Keo temple near the Eastern Baray. Both are lesser-known, yet as interesting as all the other temple ruins.

  • Ta Prohm - Finally, the Ta Prohm was built by Jayavarman VII as a shrine to his mother and is another must-see. While clearing back the forest, it was decided to leave them in place to serve as a reminder of how the original discovers found it and other temples.

Your tuk tuk waits at the Eastern Gate and brings you back in comfort back to your overnight address where you will arrive at around 6 pm.

Great trip to see the temples of Angkor Wat - Beautiful sights. Our guide, Nob, was exceptional. Very personable and was a wealth of knowledge. We learned so much about not just the temples but also the history of the civilization and Hinduism and Buddhism.

A Wonderful Day - We were picked up on time and our guide was excellent. We saw a beautiful sunrise then had breakfast at a small cafe opposite Angkor Watt before entering into the historical area. Our guide was charming and very knowledgable. We came away from Angkor Watt better informed and much more appreciative of this wonder of the world

Best tour - a great experience - Being picked up at 5am can be a bit rough but definitely worth it when you see the amazing sun rise over the temple. Our tour guide took us to a perfect viewing location and we were very lucky to see the sunrise with very few tourists around us. This is the best way to experience the beautiful temples. Our guide was fantastic. He really knew a lot of history and could answer any question we had on Cambodia. We saw all the important features of the temples and learned about the history. There were 4 of us so we had 2 tuk tuk's and the guide switched from one tuk tuk to another so everyone can take advantage of his knowledge. As being a private tour we had the option of choosing where to spend more time and how. The guide was nice to take us a second time to Angkor Wat upon request so we can capture some more pictures of the temple in daylight. Because of this me and my group highly recommend this tour.

Excellent Sunrise Tuk Tuk Tour - What a great way to experience the beautiful temples. You start at 5am with a pickup from your hotel in a Tuk Tuk (a motorcycle pulling a trailer with comfy seats and a roof). By 5:40 we were positioned outside the main temple, Angkor Wat, to watch the sun rise behind it. It was really beautiful. Our guide made sure we were standing in just the right spot for great pictures. We then went to a restaurant to borrow their tables to eat our hotel boxed breakfast (which unfortunately consisted of several forms of bread products and a small orange - recommend you ask your guide if you can buy a breakfast of local foods in the complex rather than eat the boxed breakfast). The other option is to return to your hotel for breakfast but then you lose much of the cooler morning temperatures for your tour. Our guide Shokeit (sp?) was fantastic. He really knows his history and can answer pretty much any question you might have regarding Cambodian history and politics. He showed us all the important features of each temple and explained the history behind each one very thoroughly. I can’t imagine wandering around the enormous complex on your own. You would miss so much and it would take 2 to 3 times as long. Our Tuk Tuk driver was great and always waiting for us with fresh cold bottled water and cold towels. I highly recommend this tour.

The best way to see Angkor - My girlfriend and I did the tuk tuk tour at sunrise and were so glad that we did. Tuk tuk’s seemed like the ideal way to cover a lot of ground quickly and effortlessly and we found ourselves appreciating the fact that we were not crammed into a bus or, god-forbid, roughing it on a bicycle and on foot in the heat and humidity. Our guide, Sochet (sp?),

Great choice - Kaden was excellent! - I have to admit that I originally was considering touring the temples on our own - what a mistake that would have been. This private tour was so worth it and definitely a highlight of our trip! Kaden and the tuk tuk driver met us at our hotel early in the morning, drove us to the ticket office (the office takes a photo of you for the ticket) and then to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise. I was a little skeptical of starting there after seeing how crowded the sunrise is, but it turned out to be the right call as I'm glad we checked off this temple first. After sunrise we ate breakfast at the nearby stand (our hotel provided a packed one, but we purchased coffees) at which point I once again became concerned about us "wasting time." If only I would have slowed down and enjoyed the moment. My biggest concern was that we would not see enough of the complex (we unfortunately only had one full day to do so), but after Angkor Wat, we saw temple after temple. I was very satisfied with what we saw, although I could easily see how one could spend a week here. Despite how much I read about the size of the Angkor complex (in overall area), I still was not prepared for just how far each temple was from one another. In fact, I cannot see how one would do this without a tour. Our guide Kaden was excellent - informative, friendly, easy to understand and packed a lot into our day. Our driver was very friendly as well. I highly recommend this tour and am very thankful we got to see everything we did.

Spectacular! - We visited Angkor wat as part of a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, it was fantastic! We were up early and the Tuk Tuk was at the hotel gate to greet us. A vist to the ticket booth to get the passes and we were away arriving with twenty minutes to spare before sunrise. The sunrise was spectacular and then followed a tour of the temple, be prepared though, there is much to see and it may be worth taking a couple of days!

What a learning experiance - We decided to do this tour to have a more informative experience and do things at our own pace which was perfect. Our guide was amazing and knew everything there is to know about each temple as well as the countries history. We got to go into parts of the temples no one else is allowed in which not only made it quicker but also meant we could see things with no one else around. I highly recommend this tour.

Full day tour of Angkor Wat - We had a wonderful informative tour with our guide Maow. We learned a lot about the history of this fantastic temple or should I say city of temples and took some amazing photos from sunrise to the early afternoon. I would recommend this company to others looking for an informative English-speaking guide.
