Recent & splendid museum: unmissable - The times of Angkor are undoubtedly unfair competition for the National Museum. And yet, this museum should be a must to understand art, history and the Khmer pantheon (numerous and excellent panels or explanatory videos). A high-quality museum design dedicated to showcasing very beautiful sculptures and representations of the 3 periods of Cambodian history. 3* at the hall of a thousand Buddhas

Great way to learn about the Angkor wat ruins. - First of all, the ticket price is at a very normal level, not the 132 USD showing on TripAdvisor for some reason (don't remember the exact price). This is a large museum with tons of information, a good cafe, and I would highly recommend to go before visiting the Angkor wat ruins so you get a better appreciation of their significance. I really liked how so much detail was presented in bite-size pieces that you can either delve into or pass on depending on your interest.
