Additional Information

That is a Unique Small-Group Tour guided by a knowledgeable, Local Bonaire resident who loves the Island with 28 points of interest.

Why Shekhinah Tours is Different: Unlike other tours, this is not a big bus experience with long wait times and impersonal guides. We want you to feel welcome to the Island the moment you step off the ship, and we’re excited to share our knowledge of the history, culture, economy, and food on Bonaire!
There is a maximum of 7 guests per vehicle, so you will personally interact with your guide throughout.

You will see all the major sites and highlights. You will experience local neighbourhoods to sample snacks and drinks native to this region.

Because of the minor group nature of this tour, you will be able to ask questions and make custom requests if there’s something, in particular you want to see. Time allows, and we’ll do all we can to make this trip memorable for you and your group!

  • We want you to feel at home and comfortable on our island and recommend you bring the following for this tour:
    1. Sun Protection: Sunscreen, Sunglasses

Amy is a friendly, professional guide who gives a great tour, north and south, on Bonaire. - Amy did a fabulous job of making us feel comfortable while taking us around the island. She was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed getting the info from a Bonaire native. She encouraged us to ask questions. On a hot, sunny day she provided ice cold water bottles which we appreciated. Amy is a great guide!

The best of Bonaire !! - Renny was an excellent guide! He was flexible with me to start the tour earlier. We had a detailed tour of the south and north of this beautiful island. Stopped at pretty much all the important site for photos and explanation. Even had the time to stop for coffee. So many historical points of Bonaire that Renny pointed out. I highly recommend! The price was worth it too!!

Plentiful Wilslife and Great Views - We did 2 tours, the North&South and snorkeling (at Te Amo beach) tours. Both our guides, Marvan and Renny were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable about the wildlife, geography, and history of the island. We especially enjoyed seeing flamingos on the north end of the island, seeing a sea turtle at thousand step beach, and the viewpoint at the finale of the tour. Initially we were worried about getting car sick but Marvan and Renny were great drivers, so it was a complete non-issue.

Awesome introduction to Bonaire - Wow! What an awesome tour. Our tour guide Nigel met us at the cruise port and took us all over the island. He was funny, personable, and informative. There were only four of us in the minivan, making for a more intimate experience. We had an awesome time and would recommend this tour hands down. Thank you, Nigel, for a great introduction to Bonaire.

Great tour of the highlights of Bonaire! - Super easy to meet our driver/guide Nigel right at the cruise port! He was great and took us all over the island. We saw the salt flats, slave huts, 1000 steps, huge lake with flamingos as well as wild donkeys and goats! It was the perfect way to see the highlights with only a small group - there were 4 of us in a minivan. Went to a great lookout atop a mountain and swung by the distillery for free samples and a rundown of how they make the liquors and spirits. We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the sights of Bonaire!

Pick this tour! - Luc was INCREDIBLE! He picked us up right on time, his van was air conditioned, he was flexible with his tour schedule due to weather... tried to head to the side of the island that wasn't getting rained on. He knew so much about the island! The history and culture and people. It was lovely to spend the afternoon with him exploring the island and all the wonderful places it has to offer. HIGHLY recommend!

Wonderful Day Trip to Bonaire - I had a customized day tour of the Island along with the Indian Inscriptions. My tour guide Recina was one of the best people, I have met very knowledgeable and accommodating. I can highly recommend her to anyone taking this tour in the future.

Boring Tour - Having been to Bonaire 30 years ago, my husband and I knew there was not much to see other than flamingos, iguanas and donkeys, but since we were with our grown children we who had never been, we decided to go. Our guide was kind but he spoke so softly, the third row kids didn’t hear a word he said. I asked him to speak up repeatedly but he was unable to maintain a loud enough voice. It was mostly a waste of time. Go see the flamingos on your own.
