Bonaire never disappoints - We have had the pleasure of diving here several times and it never disappoints. The dive Masters were amazing, pointed out some incredible creatures. Dolphins - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely incredible experience with Dive Friends Bonaire! From the moment we arrived, Andy, Liam, and Denise made us feel welcome and completely at ease. They are not only friendly but incredibly knowledgeable about Bonaire’s dive sites, marine life, and safety – which made every single dive unforgettable. Over the course of our trip, we saw dolphins, sea turtles, eagle rays, an octopus, and countless little creatures that the team was amazing at pointing out. Their sharp eyes and passion for the ocean helped us notice things we would have completely missed on our own. Every dive was well-organized, safe, and fun – and you could tell Andy, Liam, and Denise genuinely love what they do. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and they made the entire experience a highlight of our trip. If you’re coming to Bonaire and want a first-class diving experience with people who truly care, look no further than Dive Friends. We can’t wait to come back and dive with them again! Once in a lifetime dive with Dive Friends. - We did 3 days of boat dives and 2 night dives with DF and it was an incredible experience. Saw so many amazing creatures on our dives octopus, turtles, eels but the highlight was the giant pod of Dolphins. Denise was fantastic helping me w tricks on my buoyancy to lighten my weight belt getting me down 8 pounds by the end of the week. Liam and Andy were incredible spotting out all the little creatures. Shore diving in Bonaire is great but as some of the entries are more challenging I can’t recommend the boat dives enough plus you can go to sites that you can not by shore and Klein is where the best dives here in my opinion.

Best diving in Bonaire. - Denise, Ilsa, Luigi, Liam and Andy are so professional, knowledgable, caring, and fun. They go above and beyond providing service. We have had a great time diving from the Dive Friends boats. Even Dolphins Tuesday at Carl's Hill. Thank you, thank you.

Dive heaven - Have been to this resort the last two years. The dive crew, and shop are just absolutely fantastic. They meet and exceed all your needs. They take you to great spots and there is just so much great diving here.

Great staff and great diving - I spent a week with Dive Friends Bonaire for mostly boat diving with the Avelo System. They have multiple locations on the island, including a site at the Delfins Resort, where I stayed. Two boat pickup locations - the Port and another near the Sand Dollar resort - with equipment cleaning stations available. I was even able to clean, hang and store my personal gear at the Delfins location. There is shore diving aplenty, but I really enjoyed the boat dives. They have one big boat (Tiki Diver) and two smaller ones when it gets busy. Tiki is multi-level and has plenty of space for equipment, but because of currents, there are a few places that only the smaller boats can go, so they're both winners. Guided dives across the board with fruit, coffee, tea and water for in between dives. The Dusk Dive was a nice treat - light food was served after the late afternoon dive. All of the dive locations were great and easy for anyone, even if new to diving. Shout-outs go to Duncan for discussing Avelo, Alex for helping me with my camera buoyancy, Martin for discussing full face masks as well as all the Dive Masters and Captains: Denise, Ilse, Kathryn, Davide, James, Jay, Roam and Liam. I can't wait to come back next year to dive again with Dive Friends Bonaire!

Great Experince with Dive Friends Bonaire and Instructor Jack van Geel - On July 26, 2025, I landed on the island of Bonaire with my 13-year-old son and one of my favorite dive partners for seven days of diving in the beautiful 82 to 83 degree water. After having breakfast the next morning, our three-person dive team drove to the Dive Friends - Hamlet Oasis dive operation located a short distance from our rented private residence. The Hamlet Oasis location was easy to find, with easy parking right by the beach. The other locations around Bonaire were also very easy to find, and each location was excellent, but most of our cylinder pickup and drop-off was done at the Hamlet Oasis. After walking into the Hamlet Oasis location, our dive team was warmly met and welcomed by Instructor Jack van Geel. Jack gave us a quick tour of the operation and helped us complete the paperwork needed to rent cylinders and weights for the next week of diving. After filling out the paperwork, Jack gave us a thorough briefing about their house reef and made sure our buoyancy was correct before our team descended and conducted an excellent 60-minute dive profile. During the dive, we saw turtles, squid, puffer fish, lion fish, several different types of eels, and a wide variety of tropical fish. After the dive, Jack showed genuine interest in what we saw and was great at discussing the different species with my 13-year-old son. After we quickly rinsed our dive equipment at the facility, our team analyzed six Nitrox cylinders and loaded them into our rented pickup truck. The process of analyzing and selecting the Nitrox cylinders was very easy and efficient with Oxygen analyzers at each Dive Friends location. During the trip, I conducted over 22 hours of diving with my son and dive partner, and found that each cylinder was filled to the rated capacity with consistent Nitrox mixes of between 31 and 32 percent. The cylinders were in excellent shape with good valves and o-rings. Before leaving the Hamlet Oasis, Jack asked where we planned to dive that day. After telling him our plan, Jack provided excellent advice on the specific dive locations. This included the best place to enter and exit the ocean, as well as the best way to make the most of each dive profile. Even though I am a very experienced dive instructor, I appreciated Jack taking the time to provide me with his local knowledge and experience. On each subsequent morning, my team would drop off our cylinders at the Dive Friends - Hamlet Oasis and pick up fresh cylinders for the morning dives. Each morning, my son, dive partner, and I looked forward to shaking hands with Jack, telling him about what we had seen, hearing his stories, and getting great dive site advice for the next set of dives. Jack was also fantastic at talking with my son and making my son feel special each time we saw Jack. On the last day of diving, Jack was teaching a class in the morning and was not at the location. My son really wanted to take a picture with Jack, and I wanted to personally thank him for his part in making this dive trip very special, so my team drove back to the location that afternoon to shake Jack's hand, to tell him thank you, and to get a picture of my son and Jack together. Renting the cylinders and weights at Dive Friends was extremely convenient and economical, and with their numerous locations, dropping off and picking up cylinders was easy. My 13-year-old son is already planning a return dive trip to Bonaire, and we look forward to seeing Jack and the other staff soon.
