The Eagles’ Nests Trail is a travel path which traverses the Małopolskie and Śląskie Voivodeships. Commencing from Krakow and ending in Częstochowa, the route is stretched 164 kilometers long. The assertion ‘Eagles’ Nests’ is bestowed upon it due to the castle ruins and fortresses scattered along its length. They earned the epithet ‘Eagles’ Nests’ because they are positioned on cliffs, some soaring as high as 30 meters.

Excellent tour - This was a fantastic tour and one of the most memorable from our time in Poland. If you like hiking and castles, this is the one for you. Maciej is a very accommodating guide. Highly recommended!

Perfect day trip to experience many castles and stories with a local guide - This was a perfect day trip from Krakow. The coordination for picup and drop off was great. Maciej was an amazing guide. He truly loves what he does and it shows in the care he takes and stories he tells. The tour itself was smaller so it made the adventire much more personable.

Amazing medieval castles! - Our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable. Very friendly. Tour was great and our guide took care of all the details, like parking and tickets. Castles are amazing!

Unique experience. - Excellent experience. Castles were great and so was Majiec. He showed us all kinds of cool stuff. He even had a couple get engaged on the tour, with an amazing view in the background. And he acted as the photographer!

Amazing Experience Proposing on Tour - Wow! Could not recommend highly enough! Maciej picked us up for our all-day tour on time and was constantly answering our questions about the area. He knows an incredible amount about the local area, Polish history, and even the history and geography of the surrounding countries.
We went to a number of castles where he made sure to communicate ahead with every location so we were always expected and allowed in without delay. He gave us helpful tips on how long we should aim to wander in each area in order to keep to our schedule, but was always willing to be flexible if we wanted to linger longer or leave early.
Additionally, I proposed to my girlfriend of three years of this trip and when I made my intentions known to him several days before the tour, he sent me photos of several different areas he thought would be scenic, quiet place to do it. His most recommended spot was absolutely perfect and it made for an unforgettably engagements with incredible pictures that HE TOOK without any additional charge.
He also always made sure to keep stops in mind for food, drinks, and bathroom breaks. As a seasoned traveler this tour could not come recommended highly enough, but Maciej went above and beyond to make it my dream trip for a proposal (she said yes btw). In closing, Maciej is a thoughtful, professional, organized, and knowledgeable guide and tour operator and I highly recommend trusting him with any tour or experience that he offers.

Fantastic Castles Tour along the Eagles Nest Trail. - Wow, what a tour! Maciej took my wife and I on a 100 kilometre adventure touring castles along the Eagles Nest Trail. The castles, some of which have been used as backdrops for movies and television series, including Game of Thrones, were fascinating. Some of the castles included on site museums featuring artifacts found during the reconstruction or repair of the sites. It was a long but fruitful daylong tour. Maciej provided the history of each castle allowing us to better understand the role it played in Polish history.

Eagles Nest: Silesian Castles - Mateus (Mathew?) was an extremely knowledgeable guide.
He tirelessly explained the unique aspects of each of the 8 castles along the route. He tailored the route to the experience and desires of the guests creating a wonderful tour. I heartily recommend this to castle lovers.
