Fun and fascinating tour - my 17 yr-old wanted to make sure I got on here to say how much we enjoyed and recommend the tour of Nowa Huta with Crazy Guides. Our guide Matt (Mateusz) was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. It felt like we were visiting with distant relative or friend as he showed us around the area, pointing out the Communist Castles, and answered all our many questions. Despite my kids’ fatigue, jet lag, and general dislike of historical tours, they were engaged and attentive the entire time. We leaned a ton have a new appreciation for an important part of Poland’s history. We had a blast and highly recommend

Zany trip into Communist Kraków - From beginning to end, this trip was hilarious, entertaining, interesting and informative, all rolled into one. We did the 2.5 hour trip and travelled in style in an old police Lada. Tomas our guide was crazy - in a totally great way. Fully recommend this if you want to do something different whilst in Kraków.

One of the Top Tours in Krakow - My wife and I did a private tour today and it is simply fantastic. We have talked about it for the rest of the day. Our guide was Cornelia, and she is absolutely the best! We spent 8 days in Krakow and did many tours and visited many sightseeing locations, and of all of them this tour was one of our favorites.

Fantastic! - We had an absolutely fantastic time! We learned so much. It was presented in an educational and entertaining way. This area of Krakow is another world and actually going into a preserved bunker-wow. Understanding that period of communism in Poland was a rare opportunity to gain insights into current affairs. Our guide was marvelous. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a unique and marvelous experience!

Brilliant tour - I did this trip before with my girl friends and loved it. I wanted to do this trip which now included the bunker with my husband who can be critical of tours. Guess what he said it was the best tour he has ever been on. Well done Cornelia. Well worth the money

Don’t miss this, comrade - This is an essential tour for anyone interested in learning Kraków’s history with communism after WW2 in a fun and unique way. I’ve done this tour twice with a different person each time - 7 years apart - and amazingly, Cornelia was our guide both times! She’s really knowledgeable, clearly a history buff, and made the learning experience into something hilarious and interesting at every stop. She gave us loads of ideas of shows/movies to learn more about this era, and some nice food and drink suggestions too. The vodka she brought for us to try was also a nice bonus! It’s not the typical tourist experience you hear, but that’s what makes it so special. We chose the deluxe communist tour, which includes the visit to the steelworks bomb shelter and pierogi lunch at the communist-era milk bar. Not to mention riding around all afternoon in the amazingly no-frills Trabant! When booking, I asked if we could include the shooting range experience and Nowa Huta into 1 day and they were very accommodating. Cornelia picked us up at our hotel and afterwards dropped us near Krakus Mound as I requested. Lots of tours can be rigid about things like that so it’s appreciated. It’s not the cheapest tour, but they’re the only company running and maintaining a fleet of old Trabants, so I can’t complain too much. For me, Nowa Huta is a must see for anyone visiting Krakow and Crazy Guides do it best. They live up to the name! See you next time! Daniel and Siân 🫡

Ready or not here we go. - What a wonderful wealth of information this young lady Kornelia has! Very informative! The car was fantastic. What a treat. She went out of her way to find the Polish candy that we were looking for. I would consider taking any of her chores because she’s so informed.

Brilliant, informative and fun - We did the deluxe tour, 3 hours in total, which didn't feel excessive. Our guide, Maciek, was really informative, with great stories of his time growing up in the late communist era. The car was fun, one of the later Trabants so a (thankfully) more reliable VW engine rather than a 2 stroke, but still really representative of the era. The tour of the control centre at the steelworks was great. Lunch was part of the tour, very nice pierogi and traditional vodka. Overall the tour was the perfect level of crazy for us. One of the most memorable tours we've done, both for what we learnt from it and for the unusual vehicle.
