Begin your journey with a 1.5-hour visit to the Auschwitz I camp, where you can view the permanent exhibition housed in the former prisoners’ barracks.
Next, take 40 minutes (self-guided option) to explore Auschwitz II Birkenau, the largest of the more than 40 camps and sub-camps that comprised the Auschwitz complex. Witness the remains of the crematories, the unloading ramp, surviving barracks, and the monument dedicated to the camp’s final victims.
Please be aware that depending on the season, you might visit the Birkenau camp first, followed by the Auschwitz I camp.
