Thumbs down on the tour operator (ComFort Tours Cracow) - The guide we had from Auschwitz - Birkenau was wonderful! He was very informative for such a somber tour. However, our tour operator (ComFort Tours Cracow) was awful!!! The evening before our tour was scheduled (pickup at 9:00AM), I received a text from the tour operator indicating that they would pick us up (5 people) at 1:30PM. Our driver (George) was reckless at times and should never be allowed to drive again (high speeds in rainy conditions!). I would not use this tour operator again.

Good service - Easy to book through the hotel reception, was picked up as agreed at the hotel and driven to Auschwitz. The driver was nice and also told us about what else to visit in Krakow.

The tour bus never... - The tour bus never arrived. We received a text - 20 min AFTER the scheduled pickup time - telling us they couldn't get tickets for Auschwitz. We came to Krakow specifically for this tour! We are beyond angry!!!!

Neither a guide from your country nor any food, and a one-hour delay for pickup. - Everything started great, being super punctual at the hotel. Everything went wrong when we arrived at Auschwitz, and they assigned us a guide in Polish with no option in Spanish or even English. When the experience ended, the driver who was supposed to take us back to our hotel was one hour late, from 4:00 PM when we agreed to meet him until 4:47 PM; he did not show up, wasting our total time. I find it deceptive that they tell you via WhatsApp that they will assign you a guide in your language when upon arrival they give you Polish, and you are left to fend for yourself, with no food or anything provided. We left very disappointed with the company, honestly.

They booked the wrong language guide - We got the wrong language guide even though we booked 4 months in advance. We booked an English guide but got a Spanish guide which we couldn't understand. Same thing with the other people on the minibus. When booking that far in advance I expected the correct language to be available. I suspect the company didn't buy the proper tickets until last minute. I would definitely never use them again.

Disappointed - Subject: Complaint and Request for Refund – Booking No. 1395560595 Dear Sir or Madam, We booked the following service through your platform: "Auschwitz Birkenau: Live tour with transport and hotel pickup" Date: May 16, 2026 Pickup: originally 9:00 AM Booking number: 1395560595 Provider: Comfort Tours Cracow Participants: 2 persons Language: German Unfortunately, we had to notice several serious deficiencies with this booking: Delayed and unannounced change of pickup time On the evening of May 15, 2026, we were informed that the pickup would not take place as booked at 9:00 AM, but rather at 1:30 PM. In fact, we were only picked up from the hotel around 2:00 PM. We were not given a comprehensible explanation for this. Booked service "German-speaking tour" not fulfilled On site, it became clear that the tour was conducted exclusively in English. Since I do not understand English, participation was practically impossible for me. Incomplete tickets Although we booked and paid for two people, we were issued only one ticket for Auschwitz. Upon inquiry, we received no clarification – instead, the responsibility was passed on. My partner was therefore unable to participate. Visit not possible Since my partner was not granted access, we did not conduct the visit to Auschwitz. Thus, the entire trip of over 1080 km was in vain for us. Our demand: Due to the significant deviations from the booked service, we demand: the full refund of the booked tour additionally, appropriate compensation for the incurred travel and accommodation costs (round trip to Krakow and hotel stay) We request a prompt clarification of the matter as well as a timely response. Sincerely

Transport was great, guide was AWFUL!!!!! Worst experience ever! - The company that provides the hotel pick up and transport was great!! The driver was very polite, he was on time and even provided umbrellas for us. There were 8 people in the van. He dropped us off in Auschwitz where we joined another group for the tour. We were 30+ people (when we made the reservation, we thought it was a small group). The thing is that the Auschwitz tour guide was AWFUL, by far the worst guide I’ve had in my life. (It’s important to note that she doesn’t work for the company that sells the tour or provides the transport… nonetheless, they set us up with her). The tour was in english but she had a very bad level of english (she was polish) and you could barely understand her. She was very rude and completely unmotivated to give the tour. You could tell it was an annoyance to her. So with a bad level of english and also very poor public speaking skills, she just repeated facts that you could barely understand. She was VERY RUDE if someone asked her a question, she let you know it annoyed her. At some point i told her that we couldnt understand her because she didnt put the microphone close enough to her mouth when soeaking and she got really mad and replied that she wasnt gonna spend the whole tour with the mic next to her mouth (which is literally her job). All of the other tourist fell the same way, some even took off their headphones and just looked at the place. I was really disappointed because Auschwitz was literally the reason why we came to Poland. I had been reading Auschwitz memoirs for 6 months and wanted to really understand the concentration camp but it was completely frustrating getting this tour guide. Its would have been better to not get a tour guide and just get the brocuhre because at least we wouldnt have been mistreated or humilliated. We paid $150 for it and it was NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. I reached out to the company and they just said they wouldnt hire her again.
