• Krakow - The pick-up service typically takes about 30-45 minutes. During the journey to Auschwitz-Birkenau, an introductory film will be shown.
• Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau - Upon arrival at the Auschwitz Museum, the tour leader will introduce the group to a local expert guide. Throughout the tour, participants will learn about the history of the largest concentration camp complex from World War II. There will be a unique opportunity to view everyday items and personal belongings of the prisoners. The local guide will lead the group to the gas chambers and original barracks.
• Brzezinka - After two hours, there will be a brief break. The group will then be transported to Auschwitz II Birkenau, which is also part of the Auschwitz Museum. This segment typically lasts about one hour and highlights the scale of the tragedy and suffering. Following this, the group will depart for Wieliczka, with the drive taking approximately 50-60 minutes.
• Wieliczka Salt Mine - The tour with a local guide lasts around 2.5 hours, beginning at Level 1 of the salt mine, 64 meters underground. The group will walk approximately 2 kilometers, visiting about 20 stunning chambers surrounded by salt in various shades of grey, black, and white, including two magnificent chapels. One of these is the renowned Chapel of St. Kinga, the heart of the mine, adorned with beautifully illuminated religious bas-relief sculptures carved in salt. During the visit, there will be a unique chance to taste the salt, experience the profound silence, and hear stories about the mine’s history. After the tour, an elevator will take the group back to the surface, and they will be returned to their departure point.
