Auschwitz Birkenau & Schindlers Factory Tour - Excellent service from KrakowDirect with Pick-up from hotel. Our guide for the two camps presented the information respectfully and with great detail. Not a trip for young children but should be seen and understood so that we learn from History. The tour of Schindlers factory is a lot of information to take in, but worth doing as it covers the German occupation of Krakow in WW2.

Thought provoking experience - Excellent trip! Long day, but worth it. We had to queue a bit even with skip the line, but the main queue would have meant over a 2hr wait! Driver and guides were excellent and even thanked us for coming on the trip. It was very thought provoking and a trip I will always remember.

Harrowing and humbling - Tour organizer This was a well planned out trip and excellent communication. The day before around 3pm what’s app message with changed pick up from 6am to 5:35am , driver arrived bang on time and really warm and friendly. Got to Auschwitz and driver explained everything about this part of tour and brought us through to hand over to guide, tour started on time and was really well organized and guide had really good knowledge. The tour was so harrowing and humbling but very much rewarding and gave us a better understanding on what happened. As deaf person using cochlear implant the headsets had hearing loop so I was able to follow, Shindlers factory I must say the headset was useless and no other option which in todays world I find slightly annoying and excluded ( this was nothing to do with the tour handler) guide from the museum was soft spoken and in areas we got crammed in and wasn’t possible to be beside guide. From start to finish the driver was great gave out information about places and itinerary on time as much as possible. Be prepared to do 5 mile walk in total up and down stairs and on uneven ground. Long long day but really worth it as history like this needs told and records kept for few reasons obviously to prevent it happening again but also for future generations to understand what happened. Grateful to be able to visit and see the realism plus scale of both camps.

Very professional from... - Very professional from start to finish. We were collected from our hotel without any delays. Tour guide had been in contact prior in case we had any questions. The day ran smoothly and was very informative. I would highly recommend this tour. A lot of walking and a full day but definitely worth it.

Auschwitz and Birkenau camp trip. - Really well run trip. Early start, collected by minibus from a nearby hotel. We were shown a video on the way and the journey took approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Our guide was a lovely lady, who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. I would definitely recommend this trip. Excellent value for money.

Auschwitz - I really enjoyed it but in Auschwitz it felt as though you were a bit rushed when your trying to take everything in and the group behind is right beside you rushing you

Viator only cares about making money. - On April 16, my family and I had a tour of Auschwitz/Birkenau from Krakow. I paid $347.32 for the tour, for pick up, and for luxury transportation. The tour was very informative and was done with respect for those who lost their lives there. So that part was excellent. Secondly, the pick-up was nowhere near my rental apartment. When you say pick up, doesn’t that usually imply pick up on or near where you are staying? Other tours from you do this when they say pick up. So, saying they pick up rather than meet up is deceiving. So that part scores poorly. Thirdly, and most importantly, we were not transported in any type of luxury. The small van we rode in had a back row of seats with four seats. We were a group of four and there was nowhere else to sit. The van was full. We were crammed into that four-seater area so tightly that we all had to turn our torsos sideways. There was no air conditioning on and we sweated profusely from Krakow to the concentration camp which was a 1 ½ hour ride. Under no circumstances was that worth the $347.32.It is atrocious that you deemed that acceptable transportation. I notified Viator customer service by phone call as soon as we arrived at Auschwitz while we were standing in line waiting for our tour. Through email, I learned that you would not provide an alternate ride back to Krakow for my family. I asked for half my ticket cost back for being miserable on our tour. Your investigation reported to me that there was nothing wrong with the way you transported us. That is absolutely wrong. You are very inconsiderate of people and seem to only care about making money and not providing comfortable transportation. I submitted pictures of us crammed into our seats. I guess you think those pictures look like we were comfortable. We were definitely not. Please note that over the last 10 years, I have booked with Viator off and on when in Europe and had no problems. However, I will not book again with them as they did not care at all about our transportation.
