Great way to spend the day in Hong Kong - We enjoyed our guide Rex and his knowledge about the places we visited. He was able to help us not just see the sites but understand about the sites and the history of each place. He was very knowledgeable and helpful to our entire group.

Good day, but skip the lunch - Overall an enjoyable day, was great to see the big Buddha. Tour had English and Cantonese speaking guests which we weren’t aware of when booking, so some information repeated in both languages. I wouldn’t recommend the lunch at the monastery. The vegetarian food looked good, but it was served in a style where all members of the group shared dishes, which if you are travelling with only family and friends is fine, but not hygienic for a bunch of strangers to be eating and using same fork/spoon/chopsticks to pick out more food from the shared food. Really gross, so we left lunch early and got some snacks from 7eleven. I’d recommend reconsidering this lunch option unless you want other peoples saliva in your meal.

Better Weather might have helped - Although the day we went the weather wasn't the best, and visibility was very poor, The most surprising part was the guide doing dual languages. English and Mandarin. As this was not mentioned anywhere within the booking details. As his preferred language was Mandarin, he was more enthusiastic and louder when speaking to the Chinese on board. When speaking English it was softer and not as fluent, and to make matters worse, a lot of the Chinese on board liked to talk loudly when he was talking. This annoyed me to the point I asked the guide to tell them to be quiet. This also brings up that there were 41 people on this tour, way too many to be able to keep together, on time and explaining certain aspects of the trip. Regardless of the bad weather, this trip should have only had the one language used. It would have reduced the people and been a more enjoyable experience. Finally, it must be mentioned that there is anywhere between 10-15 degrees temperature drop as the Buddha and Temple are quite high up and the cable car ride is approximately 25 minutes over 5kms (about 3.2 miles)
