Overview of Kos island ancient and modern. - Our guide Marianna(?) for the 6 English on the trip was really excellent. The day was well planned and I felt I had a good overview of Los ancient and modern the lunch in Zia was well organised, and the food was tasty. Overall value for money very good.

Well worth doing - We had a very enjoyable day. The guide was informative with a great sense of humour. Saw lots of sights. A varied itinerary which was great for suiting all members of our party. Air conditioned coach. Hotel pick up and return was very convenient.

Brilliant trip but not quite as advertised (I would argue better than advertised in parts) - The day itself was very good, the lunch totally surpassed our expectations. I had moussaka and my boyfriend had a grilled chicken dish. We also got a sort of starter before our lunch was served, it was all traditional Greek salady bits very nice! The tavern itself was overlooking a beautiful view in Zia. I wish the trip was slightly longer so things were less rushed, there was so much more I wanted to see but can't fault the trip, it was really enjoyable. There were a few surprises too we had no idea we would go to a wine tasting or to try honey this wasn't on the itinerary when we booked. We hadn't done either of these before so we really enjoyed ourselves. I do highly recommend this trip to people who want to experience the island as a whistlestop tour, very reasonable price and a great time. Our tour guide was hilarious, we really enjoyed hearing what he had to say. The trip however could have been improved by giving us a few more details before the day. We booked through Discovery D1 and knew to expect a bus but when a TUI bus arrived we dismissed it originally because we had no idea that TUI worked with Discovery D1. That was a genuine surprise. Not a problem for us but might be to others when we booked it said the lunch was optional, we could alternatively go swimming somewhere, that option wasn't discussed or mentioned at all today. We didn't want to swim anyway but others may be disappointed.

No second time - The island of Kos is good for 1 week of vacation, unless you want to spend all day with your currant on a bed by the sea or by your pool. Once you've visited the cyclads, Kos is nothing. Nothing authentic villages or town. Kos town is worth a visit, one shop / souvenir street and a beautiful agora where you can drink / eat and where you can watch nice people. All Roman excavations are totally unmaintained and deteriorated. Island tour was worth seeing what was going on outside Kos town. The mountain village of Zia is a straight tourist staircase, nothing authentic, nothing but souvenir shops etc. Kafalos nothing but beach and a string of restaurants. So for us there will definitely be no repeat!

The tour was somewhat different from that I expected. - Visits to Asclepion and Zia town were nice. However, I would not like to recommend this tour as a whole. At Kos town, the guid took us to town square and Hippocrates tree. That was all. I visited historical places (Archaeological Museum, West Archaeological Site, Casa Romana) of Kos Town another day by myself. We visited a winery and honey company in west area of the island. The guide failed to show some display of the winery; lot of barrels, number of old wine bottles, etc. While we were there, another group came. They were guided these. We had lunch at a restaurant in Zia town. The view from the restaurant was excellent, but food was not good. I selected fish plate. It looked like fish and chips. But the fish was ”soaked." Not to join tours, if you would like to have good dishes!
