A temple that consists of 2 parts in length: the special Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the falcon god Horus on the one hand and the crocodile god Sobek on the other.
In the temple there is a Nilometer that was used by the priests to see which step the water reached. Based on this, it was determined how high the tax would be for that year. If it had rained a lot it would mean good agricultural yield, otherwise the crop would largely fail and little tax could be collected.

The temple of Horus at Edfu, which is almost intact, was built in 237 BC. Founded by Ptolemy III and further expanded by his successors. It was the center of several festivals sacred to Horus.
