Trust me, it s worth to wake up very early 😂 - I thought I would be very sleepy during the tour but I was so wrong because it was very interesting and full of sensory in every moments. You will have chance to see so many wonderful things in the early morning. Soham is really great guide and knowledgeable. There is no way you can understand and know so deep about Kolkatta without this tour.

An experience anyone visiting Kolkata should not miss - This was one of the best experiences we have had in India. On our own, we would not have done many of the things we did with Soham - drinking tea from a matka at a road side tea stand, using so many modes of transport—buses, ferry, tuktuk and yellow cabs, having the best kachori bhaji. What made this tour even more special was Soham’s knowledge of Kolkata, the very pleasant way he communicated with all the people we came across and his command of English.

The soulful Kolkata experience - This walking tour was truly special. The entire experience was engaging, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in Kolkata’s culture and stories — every stop felt intentional. I felt welcomed, respected, and completely immersed in the experience. It wasn’t just a tour; it felt like being gently guided through history, art, and everyday life by someone who genuinely loves what they do. Thank you for creating such a beautiful, well-curated experience — it made my trip incredibly memorable.

A humanist approach to Kolkata - The Magic Hour was more than a tour — it was a human experience. Our guide was incredibly authentic and generous, opening a window into everyday life in India that felt real, grounded, and deeply respectful. I didn’t just “see” Kolkata — I felt it. I walked away calmer, more present, and with the sense that I had started planting seeds — to grow roots, build memories, and truly connect with this place. This experience will stay with me long after the photos fade.

The highlight of my stay - I had read a review saying: „If you do just one tour in Kolkata, choose this one.” After having joined the Tour myself, I fully understand and agree. It was fascinating, thrilling, spectacular and so much fun! Soham is the best guide I could think of, he seems to know everything about Calcutta and took us to some places I had never heard of and had such interesting stories to tell. Watching the giant city slowly waking up was worth to get up very early in the morning. I strongly recommend this experience to everyone. Guys, follow Soham!

The best four hours you can spend in Calcutta - Soham’s love and enthusiasm for his city made us fall in love with it as well. The Magic Hour tour is meticulously planned, studded with surprises all along the way and Soham’s knowledge and storytelling made it even more special. For anyone wanting to gain an in-depth understanding of Calcutta, the people, the food, the architecture, this is absolutely the tour to do.

A perfectly curated experience! - This walking tour was one of our highlights from our visit to Kolkata! My father grew up in the city and we grew up visiting every other year, but this walk gave us the opportunity to view this beautiful city with fresh eyes. Soham was the perfect, down-to-earth and knowledgeable guide. The walk was wonderfully curated, and we especially loved getting to ride the Howrah river ferry and take a ride in the Ambassador taxi. Thank you so much!

Excellent—would give a strong recommend. - So impressed by Soham's love for his city, culture, & people and his effective work to share that with us during his sunrise tour for my wife and I. He's incredibly flexible, creative, thoughtful, and talented—this is a future civic leader in action (Kolkata can hope so, in any case). Just go ahead and book this.

This morning I took the... - This morning I took the Magic Hour tour with Soham. I am in my mid-sixties and have been visiting Kolkata since my early childhood but today, it was the first time that I walked across the Howrah Bridge; it was the first time that I took the ferry to cross the Hoogly River; it was the first time I visited Kumortuli and the Flower Matket but most magical moment was to witness the sunrise from Maidan. Thanks goes to our guide who was punctual, knowledgeable, warm and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this tour. Well done Soham.

Calcutta in the early morning: a whole new city feeling - The tour led by our guide Soham also opened up many new impressions and insights for us as expats living in Calcutta. The rides on the city bus and ferry, the mystical morning on Maidan and the visit to the flower market showed us a completely different city - especially since many of the secrets of the city were revealed by Soham's explanations and background to the group members. We had a great morning!
