Not the main tourist sites - I live and work in Tashkent and wanted to get out of the city for a change. I saw the Fergana Valley trip and liked the sound, but I didn't want to do the ceramics. I asked about a tailor made trip just to Kokand and they organised a driver and local guide. It was a long journey, but very nice to see the scenery enroute over the mountain pass. Also interesting to drive through some non-touristic towns. The local guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and there was just enough to see before the journey back to Tashkent.

A fantastic day trip. - We booked this tour overnight and was impressed at how quick Izzat organized the tour in a matter of hours and he even checked on us during the entire trip. Our driver (& friend) Ali was wonderful in transporting us around safely and attending to any of our requests. The drive was smooth and scenic, the history in this region is just amazing; such a shame that not many tourists visit this region. Had lunch in a local restaurant and the food was delicious, local guide was very knowledgeable and interactive. Overall a long and tiring trip but at the end of the day a fulfilling experience. Highly recommend this tour for a day trip.

Very interesting, full day trip to the Fergana Valley - Very interesting tour and the company was very accommodating to our last minute request for a tour. Prepare for a long day, 3.5 hours in the car starting at 6am then several hours of interesting tours of the history of Kokand, visits to local master craftsmen in ceramics and silk works. Time for lunch, and then visiting a silk factory. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Prepare for a full day of activity : leave Tashkent at 6am and you won’t get back until almost 9PM. But it’s an area of Uzbekistan not often visited by tourists and you will definitely get your money’s worth.

Such a great day. Highly recommend. - We were very lucky to take this trip as we booked it at the last minute. Everything was perfect; we saw beautiful ceramics and silk weaving and the drive over the mountains was awesome. The drivers and guide were excellent and accommodating and they managed to put this together for us with less than 24h notice, on a Sunday, during Ramadan. There do not seem to be many tourists to this area and it's a shame; there is a ton of history and it's a very historically important region to Central Asia. I would highly recommend: be prepared for a long day but a lot of learning and very kind people. I was initially disappointed our longer multi-week tour of UZ did not include a trip to Fergana, and we are very grateful we were able to make this happen. I would definitely travel again with this company. We are quite easy to please and we were absolutely thrilled to do this .. if you are in Uzbekistan, Kokand and Margilan are must-visits. The silk weaving was particularly spectacular. Thank you so much for making this happen for us!!

Great way to visit East Uzbekistan if you are on a tight schedule. - This trip is a great way to visit the Eastern part of the country. Was accompanied by a guide, a driver and Ali (one of the managers at the company). Felt like royalty. Learnt a lot about the history, tasted amazing food, visited places where ceramics and silks are made. Great experience.

Excellent trip for exploring a lesser known part of Uzbekistan! - A great trip for exploring a part of Uzbekistan that is not so well known. Having visited Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent I wanted a tour to visit the Ferghana Valley. This trip was excellent in meeting this need - I can highly recommend GoToUzbekistan travel agency. Very well organised (I received confirmation immediately)and took in several locations. Quite a long day…but well worth it!

We have enjoyed the trip.... - We have enjoyed the trip. This a great opportunity to see historical places. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only critique is the price. You may order the same tour locally significantly cheaper.

Interesting and scenic route, but... - The day was long, a lot of driving; from Tashkent to Kokand we got to drive over the Kamchik pass, over a wonderful mountain road. The visit to kokand was interesting even if the city could retain only few of the historical places. The guide was knowledgeable. However driving additional hours to margilan and rishtan to simply enter two silk and pottery shops/workshops felt unnecessary, almost a loss of time. Nothing against the particular places visited, but now worth two extra hour on the road for the 20min visits that could have probably been taken place elsewhere. In hindsight, getting the train to kokand and back would have been a better option.

Not worth the money.... - Not worth the money. I wonder what we paid for that much. I get it's a lot of driving but for what. Seeing 2 shops which could have been visited anywhere else in the county too
