• Cochin Port Authority - There is a 30-minute transfer from the pick-up point at Cochin Port to the Fort Kochi area.
• Chinese Fishing Nets - Known locally as “Cheena Vala,” the Chinese fishing nets are fixed installations on the seashore used for a unique form of fishing called shore-operated lift nets. Predominantly found around Kochi in Kerala, these large mechanical structures stand at least 10 meters high and feature a cantilever net suspended over the sea, with large stones acting as counterweights. Each structure is operated by a team of up to six fishermen.
• Dutch Cemetery - A popular site in Fort Kochi, the Dutch Cemetery shares the stories of ambitious voyagers from centuries past. Consecrated in 1724, it is currently maintained by the Church of South India.
• Fort Kochi Beach - Fort Kochi Beach stretches along one side of the town of Fort Kochi. While the area once had fort walls and bastions, they no longer exist.
• Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica - One of the eight basilicas in India, the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica in Fort Kochi is among the most magnificent and impressive cathedrals in the country. Named Santa Cruz because it was founded on May 3, 1505, the feast day of the “Invention of the Holy Cross,” the church has undergone significant demolition and reconstruction during its construction.
• Church of Saint Francis - Located in the heart of Fort Kochi, the Saint Francis Church is one of the oldest European churches in India. Originally built by the Portuguese in 1510, it was the first European church constructed in India. The famous explorer Vasco Da Gama was initially buried here before his remains were taken to Portugal.
• Paradesi Synagogue - Situated in a quiet part of Jew Town, the Paradesi Synagogue dates back over a century and houses numerous rare antiques. Built in 1568, almost 1500 years after Jews first established ties with Kerala, the synagogue was constructed on land donated by the former Cochin ruler, adjacent to Mattancherry Palace. The Jewish community of Cochin built the synagogue, which is the oldest in the Commonwealth. In various Indian languages, “Paradesi” refers to a foreigner, highlighting the White Jews, a mixed group from Europe, the Middle East, and Kodungalloor.

• Jain Temple - A place of worship for the Jain community in Kochi, the temple is renowned for its daily noontime ritual of feeding pigeons.
• Mattancherry Palace - An excellent example of Keralan architecture with colonial influences, the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, was built by the Portuguese in 1545 CE as a gift for King Veera Kerala Verma of the Kochi dynasty. After extensive repairs by the Dutch, it became known as the Dutch Palace. The two-story palace features a beautiful collection of murals.
