Highly recommended - Our tour guide was Mr Lalan Mon who proved to be a font of knowledge. Not only did he explain the history of the buildings and area but educated us on the flora. We visited the beach to see the fishing nets in action, the Dhobi Khana Laundry, Church of St Francis, the spice market, Jew town and Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace to name a few. We even got to see the location of the second series of The Real Marigold Hotel. The highlight of the day was the Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace, where our guide explained in great detail the story of the wall murals. The final stop was the Perfume Shop which surprisingly turned out to be very interesting. Excellent contact from Joyce at Excel India throughout and a brilliant tour guide, would highly recommend.

Joyce was a very obliging guide - Before we book the tour we can speak about any thing we want to do. He organised that in a perfect way. Very special was the tour through the traditional vegetable and meat market to see how is the real life in Cochin. I traveled with my family and we have a very safe feeling through the hole tour. Ask him if he can organized a traditional lunch during the Tour and let you surprise. We enjoy every minute on the tour. Joyce.... That was very very good.

Cochin City Tour visiting Chinese Fishing Nets and Churches. - Cochin is a charming little town, and the tour provided great insights into the various sites we explored. A highlight of the tour was visiting the Chinese Fishing Nets, where our guide explained the traditional fishing process. For those interested, you could even pay the owners to lower the net into the water and pull it up. Another fascinating stop was the Christian Church, where we saw the Punkah Wallah outside, pulling a rope attached to pulleys to fan the congregation inside. It was a unique and memorable experience!
