Hiro is our hero! - Hiro was awesome as a tour guide. We had a great time and learned far more than we expected to. Only thing we would change would be to reverse the order. Do the 3 breweries, tofu shop, then last brewery.

A great intro to sake - Hiro was a great guide. His knowledge was vast and he presented it in a compelling way. We visited three breweries and had a wonderful snack on the way. We were on a tight schedule so we were unable to visit the fourth brewery. Our fault, not his.

Casual sake tasting - I had a very nice sake tour, and I tasted a variety of different types of sake with a tour guide who was very friendly and took me to a few different sake locations. No one else signed up for the tour that day, so it was nice having a personal tour with the tour guide who was also a local. However, compared to a sake tour I had the following week in Kyoto, I realized that I didn’t learn much about how to pair sake with food and I only received very general information about how sake was made and how different sake was characterized. For a tourist who is interested in tasting sake but is less interested in truly learning about the complexities of sake, I think this was still an enjoyable tour.
