Went to foreign houses and sake brewery. She also showed us how to ride public transportation, one of our requests. - Chiyuki was a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable and extremely well organized. She as a very kind persona and made sure we watched our steps when pavement was uneven or a step unexpected. She knew so much about the sake brewing processes and showed us the old tools used. She made sure we knew where the shuttle bus stop was located so we could get back to the ship. An excellent guide.

Thank you Norio-san♪ - Norio-san was interesting because he had a lot of related knowledge. The route was very appropriate. He was older than me, but he worked hard in the hot weather.

Kobe!!! - Phenomenal half day tour in Kobe! The tour started with a rope way ascent to see Nunobiki Herb Garden atop a mountain. There were beautiful flower arrangements and shops to smell various herb products. Next we went to Chinatown (Nankinmachi) which was the best Chinatown I've ever visited (including SF and NY) to enjoy Kobe beef and xiao long boa (soup dumplings). Our tour guide, Yama was wonderful! He showed us all the sites and provided many historical facts and tourist tips! He was even so kind to allow us to postpone the trip by a day last minute due to rain. Yama ended the tour with a great explanation of a market beneath a department store and a quick shopping tour on our way back to the train station. Highly recommended this tour!

Norio Cured A Rainy Day - Norio was a wonderful guide who turned a rainy day into a truly memorable morning in Kobe. We took the cable car up into the hills/mountains overlooking the city where we had views which will stay with us for a lifetime. We also very much enjoyed riding the trains around town and talking with him about the differences and similarities between our homelands. We much preferred Norio’s tour to that of most of.the excursions offered by our cruise ship. Lovely man and a lovely, if rainy, day.

Good tour of Kobe - Overall the tour was good. Could it have been better, the answer is yes. Our tour guide Norio, was prompt and kind and took us to see everything. He barely spoke English so he was difficult to understand at times. Also, he got lost in one of the subways. Not a big deal, it was more embarrassing for him more than anything. Also, it appeared that he was required to take numerous photos of us on his phone to show the tour company that he was actually working. NOTE to tour companies, please trust your tour guides because it’s annoying to stop and take these “pictures.”
