Fascinating history of Knossos and the minoans - Our tour guide showed us the Knossos palace and walked us through the mythology of Ancient Greece, and how it was directly related to the artifacts found at Knossos. We learned, among other things, that Knossos was not a residence; that the Minoans were an economically powerful society, that the labyrinth was not an underground maze, and how the myth of the Minotaur was a classical interpretation of artifacts and history of the Minoan civilization. Highly recommended for anyone with a love of mythology, stories, or history.

A Must-Do Tour! - Akrivi was a wonderful guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her. She is extremely knowledgeable and is a great storyteller. The tour added so much value to our experience and provided context to everything we were seeing. It wouldn’t have been the same just walking around reading the signs. 10/10 recommend doing this tour with her!

An Amazing Tour with Akrivi - We had the BEST tour with Akrivi. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the settlement of Knossos and we learned so much, including many things that aren't in history books! We were able to ask questions, see photos, and we never felt rushed. Seeing Knossos without her would have not been the same; Akrivi's storytelling was spectacular and really helped paint a picture for us. She even left us with traditional cookies since it was the holidays. I can't recommend a tour with Akrivi highly enough. If you're hesitating, I promise you: it will be well worth it!

Do yourself a favor, book this one - Such a wonderful experience. Akrivi was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Weaving a tale as we walked through the ruins. It was fascinating and fun, and I fully recommend the experience. One other reason to hire an experienced guide, Akrivi was very saavy with the crowds. She helped us avoid the lines, and find shady spots to rest. You don’t always think about that on yours, but it makes a big difference. Thank you!

Wonderful tour guides bringing Knossos 'Palace' to life - We had an excellent 90 minute tour at Knossos Palace, which provided good insight and historical facts, so I'm very glad we saw it as a tour. It was a very hot day in late September and the tour guide had our group stand in the shade as much as possible. This is a recommended tour group experience to see & learn about Minoan history & see the beauty of Knossos 'palace'. There is a restaurant on site (did not visit) and be prepared to play .50 Euro coin to use the WC (restrooms), which were clean, with attendants present. Taxis can be located on the street at the entrance/exit and it costs 15 Euro each way for the ride to/from the Old Town/port area. There is also a bus to/from Heraklion. Recommended experience and tour group if you are visiting Heraklion. Fascinating part of Cretan history.

Lovely view of the Labyrinth - Very knowledgable guide, thorough but without wasting time! Only 4 of us in the group, beat all the big bus groups by arriving before 9.
