Setting Sail to Nusa Penida

After leaving my finance job in Seoul to backpack through Southeast Asia, I’ve become quite the expert at finding budget-friendly adventures. So, when I heard about the Nusa Penida Beach Exploration, I knew I had to experience it for myself. I booked the tour on a whim, less than 24 hours before it started, and found myself at the harbor at 7:30 a.m., ready for a day of exploration.

Angel’s Billabong and Pasih Uug Beach were next on our itinerary. The natural infinity pool at Angel’s Billabong was a highlight, though the sharp rocks meant sturdy shoes were a must. Ravy’s guidance was invaluable here, ensuring we navigated the area safely while still enjoying the stunning views.

Embracing the Chaos

Our final stop was Crystal Bay, a beautiful white sand beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling. By this point, I had fully embraced the chaos of the day. Yes, there were tourists everywhere, and yes, the island had its share of litter, but the beauty of Nusa Penida shone through.

As a budget traveler, I’m used to making the most of every situation, and this trip was no different. The key is to focus on the positives: the stunning landscapes, the friendly locals, and the chance to learn something new. Ravy’s enthusiasm and knowledge made the day unforgettable, and I left the island with a newfound appreciation for its rugged cliffs and golden sands.

In the end, the Nusa Penida Beach Exploration was everything I hoped it would be. It’s a must-visit for anyone traveling through Southeast Asia, as long as you’re prepared for the crowds and ready to embrace the adventure.
