As a former professional surfer, I’ve always been drawn to the ocean’s call, and the allure of Nusa Penida’s underwater wonders was too tempting to resist. The day began with a warm welcome from Sugara, our guide, who greeted us with a friendly smile and four chilled bottles of water. His hospitality set the tone for the day, and I knew we were in good hands. After a quick coffee at the pier, we boarded the fast boat, a thrilling ride that whisked us to the island in under an hour.

The anticipation built as we approached the island, the turquoise waters glistening under the sun. Upon arrival, Putu, our second guide, greeted us with equal warmth and even spoke Spanish, adding a personal touch to the experience. The island tour continued with visits to Kelingking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Broken Beach. Each location offered breathtaking views and unique natural formations that left us in awe.

Putu’s expertise as a guide shone through as he captured stunning photos at each stop, ensuring we had memories to cherish long after the trip ended. As the day drew to a close, we returned to the pier, where Sugara awaited to guide us back to our hotel. The seamless transitions and careful driving made for a relaxing end to an exhilarating day.
