Fantastic place, incredible food - get the ice cream!! - A fun surprise after our visit to Klis! There was a lot of love and care put into the museum, the garden, and the food was absolutely incredible - highly recommend the ice cream with orange sage and olive oil.

Very nice - Very nice! We discovered this because the entrance ticket to the Klis fortress gave free access. We were afraid of a place with exorbitant prices but not at all. We ate at the tavern and it was very, very good. Menu between 21 and 27€ starter, main course, dessert. Simple but very well cooked dishes, with fresh produce!

THE Most Unbelievably Wonderful Hidden Gem - Following the advice of our friend, we visited the Olive Museum after touring Klis Castle, since admission for both is included in a single ticket. Not only did we learn some very important things about Olive Oil (maybe the only information I’ve ever retained from an actual museum tour), we were in for a totally unexpected treat when we visited their on-campus village for lunch. First of all, the village itself was romantic and beautiful. You have to see it to believe it. My wife instantly said, “I want to live here!” The staff were warm & welcoming, and the lunch menu was an EXCELLENT value for the meal & experience. The Mediterranean Gold is now my all-time favorite cocktail, and we’ll never forget their pillow-soft gnocchi. At the end, the Olive Museum and Stella Croatica team earned a place in our hearts, and the visit ended up being one of our Top 5 memories from our first trip to Croatia. We would do it again and again and again!

Great to learn about Olive Oil - Stella Croatia, or as we found it signposted 'Olive Oil Museum', is a fabulous place to visit and, if you ever eat olive oil, it is a treat to learn about the process and history of high class olive oil production. There is an olive oil master class and tasting which costs a further €8.00 per person but that is a small price to pay for the first hand insight into what makes a great olive oil. Much like a wine tasting you are encouraged to describe the smells and tastes and recognise the different qualities of olive oil. Unsurprisingly there is a gift shop BUT it is a shop with a difference as you can taste 90% of their food products and try their cosmetics before you buy. It is also important to note that everything in this shop is produced by themselves. The taverner is a peaceful oasis to stop for a bite to eat and something cool to drink (when we visited it was 31°c and very humid so a cool drink was a must). It only has a small menu and as we were warned 'if you want hotdogs, burgers and coke, this is not the place for you'. The food was fresh, tasty and made using local produce and it was definitely not overpriced. If you have time and if you have transport then it is definitely worth a visit. If you like olive oil you will not be disappointed!

A little disappointed - Educational visit, pretty garden but I am disappointed because I expected to see local production, but the olives come from Dubrovnik, the oil sold at the shop is very expensive (much more than other oils sold in the areas of var or maritime alps). Excellent restaurant with local cuisine and garden products.
