• Crystal River - Upon reaching the scenic Crystal River, enjoy a delightful narrated boat tour. Masks, snorkels, and fins will be provided, and guests are encouraged to swim alongside these friendly creatures under the supervision of certified dive masters.

Manatees, which are endangered, visit the Florida springs year-round for shelter and food. During winter, the manatee population can reach several hundred, while in summer, the average count is 80. These “gentle giants” have no teeth.

After the cruise, the journey continues to Homosassa State Wildlife Park, renowned throughout Florida for rehabilitating injured animals. Here, guests can observe the current manatee residents during an informative and entertaining feeding session with a park ranger. Additionally, visitors can see bears, panthers, alligators, and even a hippo while exploring the rest of the park.

Roundtrip transportation from the Orlando area and a knowledgeable driver-guide are included.

• Homosassa River - The visit includes a trip to the State Park at Homosassa. Guests can stroll around the State Park, observe the animals, and view the manatees in the underwater viewing chamber at this facility for injured manatees. The park also features a café where lunch can be purchased, or guests can bring a picnic to enjoy at the available picnic tables.
• Withlacoochee River - If the ‘Manatee Swim, Park & Airboat’ package is booked, a 30-minute airboat ride on the Withlacoochee River will be included.

The tour heads up to Crystal River where you can snorkel or swim in the rivers where wild manatees live. It’s an early morning departure, so bring breakfast snacks to eat during the journey.

Following a safety briefing and collecting your mask, snorkel & fins (wetsuit hire is $15 and required for swimmers) you board the boat. When manatees are spotted you can get into the river for great photos. If you prefer, you can opt to simply enjoy the boat ride while enjoying nature.

In the afternoon explore Homosassa State Park. The park is home to many species of rescued native wildlife.
