Gummi is the best! - Gummi was amazing, very informative, graceful, caring and knowledgeable. He was one of my favorite tour guides in Iceland. I was part of a 6 person group, although we were all very quiet I appreciated all of Gummi's stories. He made the experience and day tour very memorable for me and my mom. Thank you!

Unforgettable trip - We did the glacier lagoon trip to Jökulsárlón with Gummi as our tour guide and it was absolutely incredible. Even as a native Icelander, this trip made me fall in love with the country again and appreciate how much awesome beauty we have in these glaciers and its unique environment, from the wide floodplains and lagoons to the beaches filled with clear ice crystals. We even got to see the northern lights in their full glory on our way back from the lagoons which made for a magical ending to the trip. But what made this even better was how much knowledge our tour guide had of the area and its people, from how it has been shaped by the natural forces that come with the glacier to the interesting and heartwrenching stories of the families that lived in the area, this intimate knowledge of the area's history is a treasure that should be preserved and we're grateful to have been able to share in it

Amazing experience - We did Glacier Lagoon tour today and it amazing experience. We had an excellent guide Gummi, who has so much knowledge about Iceland. It was interesting to listen to him and even though we live in Iceland, we heard a lot of new information! 14 hours trip sounds so long, but the time passed very fast. We had many stops and enough time at each location to enjoy it, use restrooms, grab a drink or snack and we even had 2 longer breaks and could have proper meals. Highly recommend booking this trip! Also, the customer service via email was great, Jóhanna replied to my emails very quick!

Wow wow natural beauty at its best - This was on my bucket list and we had a spectacular day for exploring. Our guide and driver Gummie was amazing, the tails & history he shared was amazing. We learnt a lot about the Icelandic culture, people and history of the geology. For a very long day this was welcomed. I would do this again in a heart beat because it was just the best experience.

Jokulsarlon, Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, and more - Our small family of three (including our teenage daughter) booked this small bus tour to Jokulsarlon—we knew it would be a long day. With only 5 hours of daylight and winter weather we wanted to leave the driving to experts. Our capable guide was Tront (spelling?) a self-described descendant of Norwegian Vikings! He wore only a hand-knit Icelandic sweater all day despite gale force wind and rain and shared stories of his life and of the Icelandic landscape. Though the Glacier Lagoon was our goal, the highlight of the trip was by far the short, dramatic hike in Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon—we were stunned at its sheer beauty! A final stop at Seljalandsfoss—lit up by evening lights—and a short glimpse of the Northern Lights on the highway back to Reykjavik made the long trip memorable. (The WIFI on the bus was broken, a tiny inconvenience for those of us without international cell reception, but also a nice break from our phones!)

Just the best day ! - We knew this was going to be a very long day because we had read the itinerary. If you aren't up to sitting on a long bus journey, its not for you . However, if you want the best day out ever, it's really worth the journey. We struck lucky in getting Gummi as our driver /guide. We'd already been out with him on the Golden circle tour, so knew we would have another great day. Whilst he changed his tyres on the mini bus, he treated our group to hot chocolates or coffees ....a nice start. We then set off ... his knowledge is wonderful, along with his great stories, its really unbelievable how much he knows. After a couple of stops/ bathroom or food, we reached Vik. Great photo opportunity by the church and we were so lucky to spot a glow cloud. Actually further down the road we saw another one, so again Gummi stopped for us. We then admired the stunning scenery with commentary explaining the flood plains and lava fields. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall , plenty of photos in a beautiful setting. We finally reached the glacier lagoon around 2pm. The sun was beginning to go down which meant it was the perfect time of day. Its truly an amazing place. The pictures don't do it justice....you have to experience it. We were given plenty of time to walk around, take pictures and eat. We were told the fish and chip van sold the best ones around....so we decided to try. Really, they were the best ! We then crossed the road to the diamond beach. Its spectacular....especially at sunset. Again, plenty of time there. On the way back as there was still a bit of daylight, Gummi said he had a treat for us. He went off the road and we ended up at a glacier lake. The sight in front of us was just incredible especially at dusk. It certainly was a treat. The final stop was the little church, beautiful, then the waterfall, which was lit up. We had another food break, then time to return to Reykjavik. However, we were asked if we'd like to go to a high point to try and see the glow from the volcano which had erupted the night before. The night wasn't very clear, but you could actually see the red glow in the distance. It was a nice touch to end the day. Gummi made this trip, nothing was too much trouble and he was so kind. Always allowing time to to take pictures or checking we were OK for breaks etc.we are so glad we chose this small group tour and cannot reccomend it highly enough. If you are very lucky, you will have Gummi, if so, you're in for a wonderful day .

Best day! - Wonderful all day trip to the spectacular glacier bay with Gateway to Iceland. Gummi, our driver was very interesting. He picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel. Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach are beautiful. It was a long day, but didn't seem like it. I would recommend this trip to anybody.
