Additional Information

Experience an authentic Balinese village tucked away next to Lake Batur on this tour. We begin with a morning pick-up, followed by a drive to the boat dock. From there, we take a boat across the lake to explore Trunyan Village. This village is renowned for pre-Hindu animist customs and unique rituals and ceremonies that are distinctively Balinese. The villagers, known as the ‘Bali Aga’ or ‘Original Balinese’, have a notable tradition of not cremating the dead. Instead, they place the bodies in a gorge near the village and let nature take its course. After touring the village, we return to the boat dock and head over to the Batur Natural Hot Spring. Soak in the hot spring whilst delighting in the panoramic view of Lake Batur up close. Next, we visit Penglipuran Village, a traditional local village known for its tight-knit community. Our tour culminates with a visit to Tibumana Waterfall.

Trunyan Cemetery with Gusti - We had a remarkable trip to Trunyan Cemetery with Gusti. Despite the atmosphere of the place, it was undeniably worth visiting, especially for those seeking unique experiences beyond the popular tourist spots in Bali. Following our visit to the cemetery, we explored Hot Spring, Penglipuran Village, and Waterfall. The village left a lasting impression with its unique ambiance and the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the daily lives of the locals, including entering their homes and witnessing their way of life firsthand. The tour was impeccably arranged, and our guide Gusti was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

The village had great architecture and the water fall although we didnt swim was great for pics and looked really good and for a special treat we went and had Luwak coffee and a tea and coffee sample on the way home. Brilliant and relaxing day out. Thank you Darma and eco bali tours.

Unique tour - Can't recommend highly enough - A thoroughly unique tour, with an equally amazing guide. We just returned from our third tour with Agus, and we honestly can't recommend him enough. Not only is he knowledgeable, but incredibly patient, and always willing to answer as many questions as we asked. You can tell how much Balinese culture and tradition mean to him, and he's always more than willing to share. He takes every experience to the next level, to make sure his clients have the best, and most memorable, time possible. "The cemetery tour," is a rare experience which provides a great deal of insight into Balinese culture and tradition. That was enhanced greatly by Agus' limitless knowledge of both. The tour strikes a nice balance between Balinese history and relaxation...starting the day with a short trek to a beautiful waterfall, and finishing with a relaxing soak in water from the natural hot springs...with a village and cemetery visit in between. Treat yourself...go with Eco Bali Tours, and request Agus...you will have an amazing time, and you will create lifelong memories.

Fun with Budi - The tour was very good, lots of amazing places. Budi the driver was very informative & very helpful. We thought we were going to a rural village (kampong), not a traditional one. But it was still interesting.
