Highlights

A programção funciona assim:

10h00 chegada no hotel

Mount Batour Sunrise - I had a great experience with walking up to Mount Batur for sunrise. Our guide was Wayan Madya, who did an excellent job. As well as my driver Kadek, very nice and helpful and safe driving. Thank you!

Sunrise trekking was amazing! - As a solo traveler it was so easy booking online with sunrise trekking. The communication between the tour company, my drivers and the guide was impeccable. I loved the start of the tour when we ate fried bananas and coffee. I was able to meet the others on my tour group and we had the most amazing time together. Worth it!

Beautiful sunrise. - Had an amazing time from start to finish. Picked up around 2:30 from our hotel, stopped off for fried banana and coffee before the climb which was lovely. Our guides to climb were super friendly and kind, hard walk to the top but made it in time to watch the sunrise. We loved every second of it, thank you so much! Highly recommended.

How Often Can You Say You Climbed a Volcano During Sunrise? - We woke up at 1 AM, were picked up by 2 AM, ate the provided small snacks at 3 AM, and started our hike at 4 AM. There were already several other tour groups there. The hike starts out on a paved road, then becomes very rocky and loose once you start the main ascent. They provide flashlights for the hike, and the lights from the people ahead of us created what looked like a path of stars along the volcano. The sunrise and view were incredible. There are two main viewing spots, so if you don't want to climb all the way to the top you don't need to. We had a local guide who made sure we made it to the top safely and then left us to enjoy on our own once there. A small breakfast was provided. After sunrise ended and we went back down, she was waiting for us to help us all the way back to the bottom. We didn't have walking sticks, but they would have really helped. Such a memorable experience!

One of a life time experience - Got in contact with Rodrigo to book for the Sunrise trek at My Batur. He was efficient and organised the whole tour for my sister and I. I would definitely recommend Onmywaytobali.

Great trip - The view from the top was amazing. A lot of other people up there, with a lot of noise. But it was absolutely worth it!

Good to do once - Draw back as everyone has said is the insane amount of people being herded to the top. The park management should really look at changing how people climb so it's sustainable. Also don't be a dummy and bring your child along, this walk isn't physically exhausting but is physically challenging with the terrain and visibility. Not suitable for children, overweight, or elderly people.

Worth the views, but could be improved - The sunrise sells itself but the viator organisation could have been better. We were late starting so our group was constantly playing catch up or stuck behind some of the hikers struggling. We should have skipped the fried banana stop and gotten to the start earlier. The "breakfast" was a piece of white bread, a hard boiled egg and a brown banana. Hardly breakfast. We were so late, we didn't make it all the way to the summit before the sun rose so we just stopped where we were to enjoy it. The three guides that were hiking with us were incredibly kind and wonderful, just the organisation getting to the mountain could have been improved.

Beautiful view at the top, Staff doesn't care much - The view from the top was gorgeous, but that was about the only pleasant thing about the trip. 1. The driver was in a hurry to get us to our first destination since we were running late when one group of guests were a no-show. He drove rather unsafely. 2. The breakfast was unremarkable - some fried bananas and coffee 3. The package comes with local guide, but when we arrived it was clear there was no guide lined up for us. We got stuck with another small group. The guide didn't look too happy taking us on. 4. Get ready to hike for 2.5-3 hrs with a long trail of people in front and behind you up the volcano with many small rocks that will make it slippery when you descend 5. Honestly and the worst part, I feel like there was very little hospitality or customer service, unlike what I experienced nearly everywhere else in Ubud. Every "staff" member we encountered did their jobs begrudgingly. It all felt like a manufacturing line. We didn't feel cared for in the least.
