Highlights

You will be picked up at your hotel in Kingston. We will meet you in the lobby and provide a five minute summary of the tour, answer any questions and board the transport. Immediately upon leaving the hotel your tour guide will start providing information on the areas you are passing through. Twenty minutes later as you are traveling through the mountains, we will reach our first stop at a look out point where you will see the eastern side of the city and be informed on it’s various landmarks, areas and history. It’s a must for pictures and we will be happy to take some for you of you. Ten minutes later, we continue our journey, passing through “Irish Town”, a small village area that was and is still used today by wealthy Kingstonians to get away from the Kingston heat, and work our way up to our second look out spot with magnificent views of the lush green valleys and peaks of the Blue Mountains. A short stop of five minutes and we continue driving up for a half hour more going above three thousand five hundred feet where we will stop at the old British barracks and parade ground in New Castle, St. Andrew. There you will see the southern most views of Kingston, Regimental insignia’s of Colonial times, the tallest point on the Western side of the Blue Mountains and an old seventeenth century canon. This is the ideal spot to take pictures and more pictures. Once finished, we load up once more and drive for another fifteen minutes to the UNESCO National Park grounds, our destination for hiking, bird watching and being one with nature. From the park you can see the western side of Kingston completing its panoramic view. Our time here normally takes up to two hours. After, we load up in our transport and start heading back down the mountain, making an optional stop for something to eat at one of the local spots , which normally takes less than an hour. Finally, forty five minutes later, you will get dropped off at your hotel and escorted into the lobby where the hotel will be informed that you have arrived back “Safe and Sound”.

Connecting with Nature on the Highest Level - Jackson and team were very professional and knowledgeable about Jamaica history and the Blue Mountain landscape. They cautioned safety first while allowing the guests to challenge themselves on the trail. The Blue Mountains are simply breathtaking providing an amazing view of Kingston and immersing guests in nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The food options were great as well.

Exhilarating Positive Soothing Experience - Jackson was such a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about Jamaica. It was great to learn the history and facts of the beautiful Jamaica. He is very intuitive and has a very calm spirit. I hiked two trails which were very energetic and calm for me. I wish I was able to do it everyday! Jackson made sure that I was careful and even let me lead the way which I loved. The air quality plus the views are breathtaking and amazing. In one of the trails, I was able to see a small waterfall... it was amazing. The water was SO clear and it felt so nice on my skin. I honestly will keep this experience close to my heart.. it really touched my soul and it calmed me down SO much. First hike up the mountain and Jackson made me feel so comfortable. He takes great pictures as well!! We are at the blue mountain cafe which has great views of the mountain. The food is PHENOMENAL. I had a salmon on a bagel with some good sauces which were really good. I also had jerk chicken with rice & peas. The jerk chicken taste so pure and fresh. The Blue Mountain Coffee was really good as well. Jackson I want to Thank-you so much for making the experience of my first hike incredible. It was something I will NEVER forget. Oh yeah I looked up what we spoke about and I’m esfj. Thank-you again for all of your invites... it helped me!!

Great day learning some of the history of Jamaica and traveling up to the Blue Mountains and doing short hikes. - The tour was great. Our guide Jackson was knowledgeable about the history and different areas along the way. We stopped at a local coffee shop along the way, where we ended our day there with a meal. We visited other places along the way to appreciate the views, then did a couple of short hikes where we experienced the different climates created by the mountains. At one point we were in the clouds, which was a literal and figurative cool experience. We ended the hike to a small waterfall.
