Fine dining, fine wine, fine region - A must do! - As locals, we never get to really appreciate where we live. We have visited this area many times and had no idea about some of the places we went to. We live on the GC and stayed at Casurina and we in a group of 4. Bill is great tour guide and its his own business so he passionate about everything. From the walk or the organic farm and sunflowers and meeting Geroge, (the biggest pig you will ever see) to Taverna for fresh squid and char-grilled octopus and matching wine, to the 5 dishes at Finns again with matching to the impressive Gin Tasting at Husk, you really couldn't want for a better day. Its sounds like a busy day, but its really not. It's done at the perfect pace to not only enjoy but relax while you take it all in. We have done many tours and know what is good and what is not, so If you like fine food and seeing some really cool places with great history you will enjoy this tour.

Best Long Lunch ever ! - Thank you so much Jodie and Tasting Plate Tours, we had a fabulous day getting to know and learn about the local area from a more historical and informative perspective. My husband and I had a wonderful and very relaxing day, and we feel fortunate that we live in this amazing and beautiful part of Australia. We really enjoyed you sharing all your local experience and wealth of knowledge with us. The food, wine and the experience was 5 star!

Progressive lunch - only way to taste the Tweed! - Who knew that the Tweed area had so much hidden away fine food? Luckily our personal tour guide Bill did!! I’m convinced that we would not have found the gems that we did on our own nor would we have gotten the education about the area and it’s food and produce. How good is the idea of a progressive lunch? After coffee and a chat, we started at Osteria for an excellent charcuterie plate with some delicate local cheeses (Bill told us they were from Cheeses Loves Me - hysterical) and melt in the mouth prosciutto. An interesting by the glass wine menu complemented nicely. Second stop was Fins (where we had coincidentally gone the day before). There we had two entrees and a main with the sashimi tuna tartare style dish the stand out. A couple more matching wines then back into the comfortable and spacious leather seats of our tour bus for our dessert destination...Paper Daisy. Desserts there were ridiculously good including my caramelised banana delight with ginger ice cream sprinkled with crunchy and chewy bits. A dessert this good needed a special accompaniment so I opted for the 1987 Pedro Ximenez which was divine treacley goodness. The tour was so easy from door to door. Bill makes sure you are settled at each place then leaves you alone to enjoy. Such a great way to experience some great food and learn more about the “food story” of the area (as Bill calls it). And what a story it is becoming...looking forward to coming back for a few more chapters! PS Bill generously bought us these huge Portuguese tarts that we took home...think they will be dinner!!

Terrible - I would not recommend this company at all. They ruined what could have been a lovely tour. The lack of professionalism shown was disappointing especially in their emails and incredibly slow responses and lack of communication. Stay clear. Completely unorganized and shambolic.
