A great introductory tour to The Netherlands - This was a fantastic trip that took us well outside of Amsterdam to visit the UNESCO Kinderdijk Windmills and a tour through Delft. Steven greeted us promptly at 09:30 in front of our hotel and adjusted the initial itinerary based on it being a holiday. So that meant Kinderdijk first instead of Delft. Kinderdijk was great and Steven showed his skills by filling in the details of the how and why about The Netherlands, how the land was all made by hand, and the importance of the windmills in keeping the country dry. Onto Delft. We originally thought it would be more about the pottery, but were very surprised both on the amount of time spent on the pottery (a little) and how much in the town of Delft (a lot). Steven showed us to a nice spot with the best Apple Pie we have had in the country, and spent a bit of time walking among the historic buildings and telling us the fascinating history of the city, province and country. I’d say the only bad thing is we should’ve booked him on our first day. After the tour he had a lot of useful information about the surrounding areas, and other parts of Amsterdam to visit. Great and very thoughtful tour, and you’ll get so much more out of it by talking to your guide and asking questions.

Great guide to have - Stephen is a great tour guide. For us from the USA he does a good job of converting metric to our usage so we can visualize size, depth and such. He has great knowledge of the history of what we're viewing and gives interesting little known facts

Treasure trove of knowledge! - Steven Attersol was a fantastic guide! He picked us up from our cruise boat in Rotterdam even though his company operates out of Amsterdam. We really appreciated his flexibility. He knew the ins and outs of Delft, including having us climb the Nieuwe Kerk stairs to get an excellent view of the city. He took us to De Candelaer, known for its genuine hand-painted Delftware, where we got a 10-minute introduction by the owner of the shop. Lastly, Steven took us to Kinderdijk to see the windmills. He was a treasure trove of information during the entire day. Highly recommend!!

Take this tour with Steven as your guide! - Our guide, Steven, picked us up at our hotel and the adventure began!! He drove us to Delft in his pristine minivan and took us on a wonderful walking tour of this beautiful city. We visited a shop in Delft where they hand paint Delft pottery and found some absolutely beautiful pieces that they were kind enough to ship to our home. After lunch at a nice, outdoor cafe which Steven recommended, we headed to the Kinderdijk Windmills. What an adventure to step inside of a windmill and learn the importance of their operation. It is a gorgeous setting and so very well maintained by volunteers. Steven delivered us back to the hotel and I have to say it was one of the nicest days we had during out two week trip. Steven made the day fun but we also learned a lot about the area. I would highly recommend this tour and be sure to get Steven as your guide!!

An AMAZING history lesson in a beautiful city and a unique World Heritage Site - SIMPLY AMAZING. FIRST, the company was able to assist us after my mistake. I booked the trip but mistakenly booked from Rotterdam. It worked as most of the trip was near there. A small tour operator was able to assist to make this happen. NEXT, Steven, our guide, was wonderful!! He provided so much information about the cities and their rich history. Something a group may not get the opportunity to experience. We went to De Chandelaer and met Stefan Delos, the owner, who walked us through the process of making Delftware. We met Shirly, one of the artists. We had lunch in a local restaurant/pub. Next went to the Kinderdijk Windmills. Steven’s explanation of the windmills, the water control, and uses of the windmills was amazing. Such a beautiful location and a historic sight. Our trip was 5 star all the way. Well worth the price of admission!!!!

Exciting and enlightening - Exciting and enlightening. There were many visitors which made the experience less good. It is recommended to take/lease a bicycle. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
