Be careful on the narrow, steep stairs.

Two of our windmills welcome visitors every day, each narrating its distinctive tale.
The Nederwaard Museum Mill has been a global attraction for many years. Constructed in 1738, this ancient machine maintains its exceptional condition. The past resonates with every object, making you experience a trip through history via a combination of old monochrome photographs, artifacts from the miller families, and of course, the mighty, rhythmic wooden pulse of the windmills themselves.
The striking Wisboom pumping station is one of several spectacular structures adorning Kinderdijk’s UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you’ll plunge into Kinderdijk’s past while learning about the functioning of this pumping station, established in 1868.
You will explore Kinderdijk at your own pace.
