The Northern Circuit path is one of the most exceptional and recent official paths for ascent up Mt. Kilimanjaro. This unique path is also the least crowded and longest path, ideal for those seeking a remote and extended Mt Kilimanjaro hike. Journeying through this trail ensures excellent acclimatization adjustment and spectacular views from the northern side of the mountain. The Northern Circuit initiates with the Lemosho path for the initial few days, then rises the Shira Ridge to traverse the lofty Shira Plateau. Trekkers will abandon the Lemosho path to head northwards and adhere to the primary circuit when getting close to the Lava Tower. Circulating clockwise from Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp, trekkers will go past School Hut before ultimately reaching the summit from the east. The descent uses the Mweka path where trekkers are likely to meet other trekkers from the Lemosho, Shira, Umbwe, Machame or Marangu paths.
