Great but a bit pricey - We really enjoyed our time with Yves exploring the area around Nyamirambo and sampling the local foods. It was a privilege to meet him and hear his stories. It was a bit pricey tho’ for the amount and type of food we sampled.

Interesting and different. - A very good experience. Our guide was Jovan, an extremely personable and polite young man. He explained the traditional Rwandan dishes that we were eating at each of the restaurants that we walked to. We would never been able to do this on our own. Thank you Jovan and Viator.

10/10 ✨ - Joselyto was an amazing and informative guide. Enthusiastic talking about the city and the food. Also just a really cool guy in general and it was great getting to know about his background. We hit up 5 spots during the tour— definitely come with an empty stomach.

Great 👍 - The half-day Rwanda walking food tour was superlative! Our guide Jovan was fun and engaging and very knowledgeable. The food choices focused on Rwandan cuisine which we wanted...I can go anywhere for fake Italian or Mexican food. Also, there were some foreign dishes. All of them were excellent. Do you want to pamper yourself with delicious food, a nice stroll, and enjoyable company? Do this tour! 5/5...I recommend this wholeheartedly.

Delicious and fantastic experience - The walking food tour was excellent. I couldn’t get real local Rwanda food in any of the other restaurants I went to so I am. Wry happy I found this your. My guide, Gaella is fabulous, so smart and knowledgeable of her culture, and food. If you enjoy good food and good conversation she is the one for that! All the food was delicious and new to me. The only thing I would change or suggest is to reduce the portions of the food, I would have paid the same for less amount of food, because we couldn’t finish everything as we were going to do different stops to try different t things. Or maybe next time I’ll bring my containers to take some back to the hotel 😅 Thanks for the fantastic experience!

Highly Recommend - Amazing tour! Mariam was so sweet, a great conversationalist (I had a solo tour), and was very knowledgeable about the food and neighborhood. I have traveled in several other African countries and she explained similarities and differences between foods with similar preparations. While the tour is about 2-3 hrs - depending on how busy each location is - the distance covered to not too much and is flat. You’ll walk through the Islamic neighborhood which has many tailors, dress shops, restaurants, and mosques. I highly recommend this! Pace yourself, it’s a lot of food and drink! Don’t forget to tip.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! - 5/5 Our guides, Miriam and Innocent, were great! I enjoyed the interaction with the locals and amazing conversations with the guides. I feel like the experience was amazing and we really got a “Taste of Rwanda!” Even after the tour, Miriam and Innocent took us to 2 of the shops we wanted to buy souvenirs from that we had passed earlier in the tour! There was also an amazing recap video that Innocent create following the tour! I highly recommend! My girlfriend and I were traveling from NYC and enjoyed everything Kigali had to offer!

Fine experience but not worth the price at all - Jovan was friendly and pleasant. However the price of the tour is way too expensive for what is offered. The price should be closer to $15/$20. You will try some basic local dishes that are quite cheap and walk a few blocks. In general a nice experience but a huge rip off - I’ve been on food tours all over the world and none have been this low return on price. The operator is surely making tons of money (unclear how much is shared with the local guides).
