THE Tour to Take in Ketchikan - This is THE place for a family or small group. The owner/operator, Art, is a great guy. Reminded us of everyone's favorite Uncle. We recommend this tour. Sure, it costs a little, but everything does in Alaska. We saw many sights, animals, and learned lots from "Uncle Art." Really consider taking this tour. (I forgot to write my review and am doing it now so people going this summer can ejoy it.)

Private Rainy Day Tour - Art was an excellent ambassador for Ketchikan having grown up on a nearby island and raising his family here. He was personable, knowledgeable and a little sarcastic which fit in perfectly with our group of four. We toured outside the city north and south in search of a bear sighting to no avail. We did spy an eagle and learned a lot from Art about the various types of salmon. The Beaver Waterfall was beautiful as was walking in the rain forest. Our trip to see the Totem Pole Village with the Community Hut was a highlight. Art explained how the tribal people lived and why they carved totem poles. There was no written language so the totem poles told stories and explained history. Art recommended a couple of restaurants in town for chowder and then dropped us at “Creek Street” so that we could explore that area on our own. We would highly recommend Rainy Day Tours for your visit to Ketchikan.
