Highlights
  • Tongass National Forest - After a dozen years of running kayak tours in Ketchikan, we’re consistently surprised at the number of visitors who never set foot in the Rain Forest. Our E-Bike tour originated from a desire to get more visitors into this amazing rain forest. With almost 200 inches of rain annually, there really is no place as lush and unique as Southeast Alaska. The forest floor is bountiful with all kinds of Flora and Fauna and depending on the time of season its not unusual to see deer or or salmon swimming up stream.

Port times for most folks are very limited, so we wanted to maximize your time by combining multiple activities on this tour. Plus we wanted to offer more than just a hiking tour anyway. So we made the trip to the trailhead half the adventure in itself. And how could we not stop along the shoreline of the sea along the way back? It’s not unheard of to see Porpoises, Seals and Sea Lions or sometimes Humpbacks from the beach.

Additional Information

As the pioneer of electric bicycle tours in Southeast Alaska, we cordially invite you to accompany us on a gentle and delightful ride down the ‘road to nowhere’. This path culminates at the border of the thick Tongass National Forest, a vast wilderness where a fun, guided educational trek on a well-kept trail next to a lively salmon breeding stream awaits you. The hike includes a picturesque waterfall as well as breathtaking beach vistas, offering you a chance to see black bears, marine life, and intertidal creatures along the shoreline. The lush rainforest is the jewel in the crown of the loop trail through the Tongass and exhibits continuous change throughout the year. Upon completing your guided expedition, you will hop back onto your e-bikes and pedal your way back to our marina for some mouthwatering smoked salmon delicacies, along with vegan options and refreshments. We offer round trip transport services from both the Downtown Cruise docks and the New Dock at Ward Cove. We also supply top-quality rain gear, should you require it.

Adam is the Best - Danyel and Ajia were amazing guides. Incredibly knowledgeable about the area, friendly, took us along an absolutely beautiful trail. Cannot recommend them enough. But Adam, he is clearly the heart of the operation. Don’t think they would be able to do it without him. Best smoked salmon dip we’ve ever had, and the La Croix was extra cold.

Awesome way to spend your day in Ketchikan! - The guides were all so great. From the driver who gave us some history of Ketchikan on our way to the ebikes to the three wonderful young guides who took us out and were so patient with our group, all of varying ages and expertise. The e-bikes are SUPER nice, very comfy and easy for anyone. I've done e-bike tours before and these are higher end bikes you could ride on for days. The guides had everything for us from windbreakers to gloves and even treated us to a tasty snack at the end. We loved it! I loved the hike and the scenery and the whole vibe. Highly recommend this tour.

Biking anh hiking trip in wet and cold raining day - Wet and cold riding bike. The trip should have been called off. There was no answer from contact operator on the morning. Not worth to biking and hiking in the rain. We should watch the weather 24 hour the day of the trip to receive full refund for canceling the trip. Lesson learned
