Mombasa/Diani to Saltlick Lodge via Tsavo East National Park
Tsavo East National Park - Guests will be picked up from their hotel and driven to Tsavo East National Park at 6:30 am, traveling along the Mombasa Nairobi Trans-African highway and entering through the Bachuma Gate.
Visitors will explore various sections of the park, particularly the loop side, which is swampy and home to many animals.
The pipeline area is a highlight, where numerous elephants gather due to the abundance of water holes perfect for mud bathing.
This is an excellent opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and many elephants. With some luck, guests might also witness the Big Cats, such as lions, either hunting or enjoying a meal.
A buffet lunch will be served at Sentrim Tsavo East or a similar venue.
After lunch, guests will depart the park and head to Salt Lick Lodge, arriving in the afternoon for check-in and relaxation.
An evening game drive will be followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge or a similar accommodation, subject to availability. This lodge is particularly notable for its unique architecture.
Saltlick to Mombasa/Diani
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - After an early breakfast at the lodge, guests will depart at 7 am for a half-day game drive. Around noon, they will leave for Mombasa, enjoying a game drive at Taita Wildlife Sanctuary and having lunch en route. Upon arrival in Mombasa/Diani, guests will be dropped off at their beach hotel or residence at approximately 4:00 pm, marking the end of their safari.
